Post your music collection/ipod playlist

I am quite the music junkie. This is music I have listened to/plan on listening to. I omitted lots of artists I used to listen to when I was a kid(Limp bizkit and ICP for instance HA!) because I just cant stand it. And if you can believe it, I'm still constantly searching for the next thing. I see based on this music forum that people here have an incredible variety of taste, most of it being pretty obscure.

Right now I want to expand my hip hop, reggae, dub, electronic(kind of getting into this), 60s and 70s blues and prog, JAZZ(have none), OH and definitely CLASSICAL music. I have no classical music

Random thought: Would it be possible and/or better or more efficient to somehow just link to an online playlist?

Can one simply upload a list of contents from their ipod online somewhere? Would it be feasible for us to create/link to our youtube playlists?

Also, the OP must burn for eternity for omitting Soundgarden from the list.

Yeah, we can do that instead. It would be a much better way of introducing music to a new listener. People are uploading full albums with good quality onto youtube now, so having an ipod full of mp3s is becoming pretty obsolete anyway.

Hell yes. This is what I was hoping for. I'm trying to expand my palate and I've never known a good starting point for Jazz. Thanks.

And I agree on Hammond organs. I'm just learning to appreciate the beauty of that instrument. I fuckin want one so bad.

But I recommend Mogwai (post-rock), Sonic Youth & The Pixies (alternative rock) and Battles & Pivot (contemporary blend of electronic and progressive-rock) based on your list, Panopticon.

I put together a 20 song playlist on grooveshark. A mix of music that appeals to me right now. Lots of "airy fairy shit" in there, some prog, a little metal, and an Andy Rehfeldt remix(love all his remixes on youtube) of an Adele song. None of this stuff is over 3 years old. I try to keep it current.

Puffy, yea Mogwai should have already been there, considering the other post rock bands I listen to. Sonic Youth and Pixies I only know by name, but I have always heard good things. Never heard of that last one, but will check out! Thank you.
