I kinda think that there's a grey line between what's considered Post-Rock and some of this Progressive Sludge Metal stuff...

There's definitely some overlap between Post Rock and what Baroness, Mastodon, and my fav, Giant Squid does...

If you never heard Giant Squid, you are about to dip into some true originality, a wellspring of avant garde creativity...Also, check out their sister-band, Grayceon...Just unbelievable rich in innovation, both of these acts...The common denominator here is the female cellist...She rocks that big box of strings like its goin' out of style.
