I've started getting popups on this site. Is this a new thing?

I've started getting popups on this site. Is this a new thing?

Today I was getting a number of popups too on my smartphone when clicking Today's Posts. They aren't showing up on my laptop but I have blockers in place.

Yeah! I thought my machine had picked up a virus, some malware, or such.
But when I click on other tabs nothing out of the ordinary happened.

mine was on Chrome in android smartphone, it was a popup for one of those "your computer has a virus, please click these links and call us to fix it" scams.

LOL I just had one after reading this thread. It's a first.
'm not using a blocker of any type on here to my knowlege; this is FireFox.

Got them on both Windowd10 and Ubuntu using firefox on both.

The usual shit - ads for casinos, dating sites. On windows I got the antivirus scam

Ghostery prevented a redirect from
adplexmedia.adk2x.com to tc.tradetracker.net,
which is part of TradeTracker.

Had to disable Javascript to get rid of this shit. Everytime I clicked Today's Posts I got popups with naked chicks and whatnot

I think it's only when I'm not logged in btw. If you have "remember me" checked and store cookies etc then it doesn't happen

jesus even logged in Kaspersky keeps giving me 3-4 popups per page informing me about a virus on the link I just clicked and what it's blocking.

And I also have to replace Kaspersky since Geek Squad is dumping them as a provider since they are RUSSIAN SPIES SPIES SPIES
