To treat life like a game. Like playing a game of chess, or setting up dominoes to be toppled. Life is better spent strategically playing as it was a game.

I choose both. Although one is the aspect of the other and both are one and the same.

Then live life, since life is meaningless putting in the effort to play it is just wasted effort. I'll just enjoy it instead(granted there may be some enjoyment in playing with it at times, but I'll rather just make use of a video game instead)

I would be more comfortable picking her if I could replace her morals with my own. As it is Tyrion's thought process and morals align better with mine but Arya's inquisitiveness, drive and rebellious nature is more appealing than Tyrion... tough choice all in all I think I will go half Tyrion and half Arya.

Sandor, Tywin, and Lord Varys I didn't like in the beginning, but grew on me later, as well as Littlefinger. I think realistically I'd be like a lot like a less caring Jon Snow. Which to me says I'd be like Tywin. But I don't have the social strength/presence that Tywin does, and I lack the completely indifferent nature of Varys. Sandor maybe, but he also doesn't seem to think things through much, so that wouldn't work. Littlefinger...he's highly psychopathic, but I think in that environment I would be like him. It just fits based on how well I've come to know myself.
So I guess I'd "play the game". And try to play it well.

"Playing the game" is for ENTPs and EXTJs. Living life is for the NFs. INTPs excel at doing neither, and floating around, through the abyss, fully aware and capable of both but unwilling to participate in such pointless endeavors.

What about INTJ? Ultimately, everything is pointless.
I experiment sometimes and am always surprised by how much power you have in the world. It always bothers me that idiots always seem to be the ones who control but are totally unaware of it as a game. They are just responding to their environment rather than having any real power.
I was reading in a book called "The Introvert Advantage" that introverts actually have more power than extroverts. It has to do with the value of each interactions. Extroverts have many low value interactions and introverts have few high value interactions. Introverts are forced to learn extroversion but extroverts can go through life without ever learning the value of introversion.
Personally, I like to work less so it would make sense to create a strategy to make that happen. If I conceptualize the world as a game, then I'm just moving pieces around so it makes a lot more sense to me that way. I already use this to make predictions so why not make adjustments rather than just observe?

I've considered playing the game a lot. I began reading 48 laws of power by Robert green, along with some other things, such as all the posts on things like body language and power and such. So I considered it. I don't think it's for me. I don't want to control or influence anybody. Sure, you could argue I naturally do to some point, but I don't really want to.
Although I guess somewhat ironically I do aim to be quieter and more direct spoken in order to make people have a respect for me such that they don't talk to me as much. But only In certain places.
I haven't really figured it all out yet. Playing the game is appealing but living life seems the better idea.
I did notice that INTPs have a major advantage with heavy Ti up front, so we can pick apart aspects of social interaction, but Fe inferior is a serious roadblock considering we wouldn't want to charade all the time, or be able to completely sincerely fake emotion, interest, sympathy. Well maybe but we might lose to an NFJ in that case.

Im still a little confused by the premise here, and I only read like 50 pages of the first Martin book before giving it up as not my cuppa, so the analogies are lost on me.

To Littlefingers defense I don't think he's ever displayed any sadism. The man plays the game, he takes pleasure in victory but he doesn't like to wallow in the demise of his opponents. I wonder if he even was a sociopath from the get go, he can't ever have been like a nice guy, but I think from the get go he might just've been a somewhat coldhearted who NT :O
Can someone please rank the types on a scale where 1=total gameplayer and 16 equals=total lifelivah?

One can only play the game aimlessly, or with a strategy.
I like listening to the 48 Laws of Power on audio tape. It's one of my top 5 favorite books (I need to read more).
One thing that I remember from that book is that there is a common theme. To have power, you don't want to be King. You want to be the hand of the King. I think an INTP would make a good hang of the King. A good example is Lord Varys. He avoids being killed or taking blame and has an incredible amount of power which he controls from the shadows.
There's a book called Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion. It basically breaks down persuasion into 6 or 7 rules. If you abstract the ideas you will notice other persuasion is just a re-packaging of these rules.
In the book, they try to emphasize on using persuasion for good. 48 Laws of Power is like, you choose. The point is that you could persuade someone to make a decision, then have them feel really good about the purchase. People experience buyers remorse and want to return purchases. People have attachments to their stuff, so you can create a positive experience and give them more value from their purchases.
Sometime charging people more than something is worth makes them feel special. iPhones wants their prices to be as high as possible so that people get that warm and fuzzy feeling. Some people are happier being charged more than being charged less.
Yeah I struggle trying to decide. Ultimately, I think playing the game would make living life a lot better. I can create a path and make things happen with some planning.
I feel out of control when I'm living life and when I experiment to see how things work, I am always surprised. It's to a point when I'm really good at making predictions, and can think of strategies to play the game.
It's good for poker because no one can ever read me. I don't really have to fake emotions in poker, but that would be a drain. Actually, playing poker is a lot like a smaller version of the game. It's bound by many of the same rules life is (real money, real psychology). I don't think that I would live life like I would in a game of poker. At the same time, I wouldn't want to be in a game of poker and not take playing the game seriously?
Basically, we live in a game and the rules are unwritten. Some of the rules have been discovered, and others are kept secret. Do I continue to roll the dice and ignore the game? Do I learn the rules of the game, and learn to play well?

Hmm.. I wonder though, when one considers Eddard and Stannis.. aren't they sort of total gameplayers? It's a different game sure, but they really don't seem much for living life at all.
