This is a video made by a guy who explores old mines. In this particular video he went to a mine to review a flashlight and got some weird audio. It starts around 11 or 12 minutes in.

This guy doesn't post any paranormal crap or clickbaity stuff. I've seen quite a few of his videos and most are just him dicking around in old mines and documenting the history of it or finding interesting old shit. This is why I'm not quick to think he set this up, although that's always a possibility. Other youtubers have done audio analysis and seem to be of the opinion that the audio is in the video and not edited in. This doesn't mean no hoax, as he could've set something up in the mine, I just don't see this guy going out of his way to do it, but you never know.

Wind, escaping gas and water can make all sorts of weird noises in certain areas, as can a variety of wildlife. He mentions in the video snakes or birds/bats, I think he just mentions this in an attempt to keep his cool. The noise sounds like human speech, repetitive whispering. Earlier in the video he walks by a rope more recently positioned to access an above stope area of the mine, which he doesn't explore because of safety reasons. Someone could've been camped out in there fucking with him.

Ah, yes. I recall this video from a while back. I'd actually watched a few of his other videos prior to the one you link.

I'd like to think there is a rational explanation for this, but... yeah. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I do find it a teeny bit intriguing.

[EDIT] Didn't miners put stock into some myth or other about 'knockers'? Some kind of supernatural entity IIRC, allegedly down in the pits with them. I think they were generally thought of as troublemakers, but would occasionally warn the miners of imminent danger.

Of his videos there are two others that are odd. Both in the same mine some time apart. In the first, one chain hanging from the top was swinging while the rest were still. This I think may have been a bat roosting on the chain that he startled away. The second video he hears what definitely sounds like radio chatter followed by a siren. Neither of those would be as creepy to encounter as the noises in this video though.

I've never heard of knockers.. it would be interesting to get some people to revisit the mine and get some more video/audio. But other than whatever the noise was, there are more rational reasons for not going back in, like collapse or mountain lions. I'm not sure where this mine is.

Yeah, I've seen those too. I thought they were creepy but perfectly explicable.

I've said this before, but I'm a bit of a strange mix when it comes to things like this. Y'see, it's my nature to be sceptical. I want to find the rational explanation for everything... but I've also had a lifetime of experiences which absolutely defy rationale; some of said experiences have been shared with others, so I know it isn't some kind of mental issue.

It's legitimately irritating. Like a never ending tug o' war internally. Reason vs the knowledge that, yeah, reality occasionally slaps you around the face with something so overtly out of the ordinary that you simply cannot explain it away.

CBA going in to it further because as I say, it flies in the face of my nature. It seems to run in the family, though. Really going off the deep end now (ugh) if there is such a thing as 'the supernatural', then it's definitely intertwined with my bloodline in some way - and I'd say my dad is some kind of nexus for it.

to me it could be that the structure of certain areas of the tunnel amplified a certain range of frecuencies of his tone and cut off others making his voice echo sound weirder than expected

Spiritual phenomena are often explained by natural phenomena, so it could be wind echoing through that part of the tunnel due to how it's built, resonating.

Most people listening to the audio analysis videos hear "faster, faster" or "master, master".. followed by "turn it off".

It seems to happen when he's around the ore chute and the rope to the upper level, so it could be echoing from there. Since I can't figure out where exactly this mine is, I'm not sure what wildlife would be in the area. There were bats in the video. Maybe there are a bunch of them up there making weird noise that echoes down the ore chute in a creepy way.
