How many of you keep notebooks with you at all times to jot down ideas? If you do carry a notebook around post a photo so we can see your creative genius :D

I don't, but I used to store my ideas in my phone. I feel too paranoid to carry a notebook around at all times. What if someone reads the content? However, I do have many notebooks.

I have way too many notebooks. I almost always have one with me for jotting down ideas. They get all scrambled though, and I have ideas strewn throughout dozens of notebooks.

An example, I guess. This is basically a path to overcoming existential self-doubt by converting one's agency into a swarm intelligence that transcends time, though it will make very little sense without me actively presenting it.

I've tried but could never consistently make it work. Writing longhand is too slow, cumbersome to carry notebooks, can't be searched, not easily replicated/backed up, and you can't use voice-recognition with it. On the plus side it's more immediate, personal and better for sketching a diagram than anything I've seen digitally. Also there's more "surface area" to work with.

Oh boy. I have a notebook at work, a notebook in my van. A notebook in my shop, a notebook in the house. I'm ridiculously unorganized and that inspired me to get a notebook but my notebooks are just as unorganized. Pages of budgets, pictures, phrases, questions, words that I don't even remember why I wrote them down. But I've made it a habit to try to keep writing stuff down. Sometimes I revisit things and add a little to them.

I like post it notes and legal pads, and I tear papers as I go.

I have a shit ton of notebooks and most of them are near full (guess that means I should think about buying some more). I just don't bring a notebook around with me anywhere; I'm more likely to just bring a piece of paper with me with a couple notes on on it of what I want to remember. When I use a notebook I am usually very focused on the idea I want to produce. Its sometimes a song or writing that means something to me where I am thinking about the big picture of the human race and applying that to my life circumstance. There's also plenty of notes I take with things I don't want to remember so I use the notebook to go back to those things later.

I'm a student. Note taking for me still feels most natural in a notebook. So I have 3-5 on any given day. Besides those I also keep a few lying around for Dungeons and Dragons. I also keep one for my running record to track my runs and mileage.
