The Downward Spiral is probably the best NIN album, most other stuff doesn't reach the same level.

The Downward Spiral is probably the best NIN album, most other stuff doesn't reach the same level.

+1. They're one of those bands where if I'm listening to them I only listen to my favourite album. I used to like Sonic Youth a lot but would only listen to Daydream Nation as it trumped all the other albums to me. Same with NIN and Downward Spiral.

I thought The Fragile was better. Downward Spiral felt too deliberately angsty. The Fragile was smoother to listen to, the songs flowed more into each other, and it had more of a depressive angst tone to it. I'll always relate more to that I guess.
