Here's a Tommy Lee Jones clip for you Nia. The opening of "No Country for Old Men".

Oooh, those vowels

Say - 'do', 'to', 'believe', 'me', 'passion', 'die' - for me ;). They sound like soft toffee - deh iee, bull ee uv. Lovely!!! :D

Is the film set in Texas or New Mexico. I did love it - mesmerising. I could never decide between that and 'There Will Be Blood'. Two good films coming out from Hollywood in the same year - unbelievable.

That reminds me, I got "No Country for Od Men" on DVD for my step-dad a while back.

I should get round to watching that some time, what with it winning so many awards and being awesome and all...

Egad - I don't log in for a day and look what happens! Frivolity!!!

I'll have none of that round here I'll warn you Fordy. The wildlife are seriously out of line with their warm welcomes and rampant imaginings and accents and all. Infractions all round.

For some reason all I can picture now is Ford Prefect and Vogons and intergalactic highways.

And Pam Ayers.

Thanks.

It's all set in West Texas. I like Tommy Lee Jones character in that movie because he reminds me of one of my uncles who was a guard at the state penitentiary in Huntsville (which is mentioned in that clip). Texas city dwellers like me typically don't talk like that though.

You should - that's if you want to up your film star quotient :)

Hmm, there's an idea - cognitive intelligence, emotional intelligence, spiritual initelligence, filmic intelligence.

i've already got a conspiracy group. we're the illuminati, we setup shadow governments and pull the strings on these puppets you call presidents and prime ministers. we rule the world through secrets, lies, obfuscation, and fear.

and every thursday is pizza night at headquarters.

i don't think you texans could handle our siberia-like winters.

You are actually right about that. We get half an inch of snow here and you would think the four horses of the apocalypse are on their way. No one knows how to drive, people bundle up like they are in Antarctica, schools are canceled. It's insanity.

schools don't get canceled here unless we have like 6+ inches of snow and its below zero degrees farenheit (thats about when the salt is rendered ineffective). ice storms will do it, too (i am not looking forward to those)

There's nothing like a -40F night, standing on a frozen lake at midnight, listening to the ice crack. Spookiest sounds I've ever heard.

I love Texas but I would like to live in a cold climate. I hate heat. My wife calls me a penguin because when everyone else gets all bundled up, I where shorts, and I keep our house so cold you could hang meat from the ceiling.

*Stares blankly*

Heh, cold weather sucks. Winter seems to of hit us hard and fast this week.

Though, providing global warming continues at this rate for the next 30-50 years, we might never see snow in Britain again... And snow is the only good thing about Winter. Not that it snows much, anyway.

I cried because I was so cold. Tears just started to drip down my face. It's hard being a Texan.

I love winter, more time to stay inside, and less parents bugging me to get off the computer, out of my books and go outside. Plus I like the feeling of being very snug xD. You guys should come live in Melbourne, temperature range so dramatically, it's the end of spring/start of summer right now, and it's about 12 degrees Celsius here.
