I was trying to find what does an ESTJ or ISTJ Mother want as a gift. My stepmom is like Martha Stewart, literally exactly like her.
She already has exactly what she wants, no more, no less.

My own Mom was ENTJ, and I understood her and what she liked, we were almost identical in interests except she was very extroverted, I'm the extreme introvert.

Best bet will just be a bouquet of flowers I think for Mothers Day, May 11th?

The article is really interesting, but if we talk about my own experience - my mother would be happy with any gift, but the most desirable were some socially acceptable status things - cosmetics, an apartment or a car, clothes, perfumes... everything that is usually given "for girls" and "for women".

I wonder who she could be in the typology of MBTI?

Hi! Maybe you could send her a link so she can take the MBTI test, and then you both will know.

Yesterday, I finally asked her by text what practical useful gift she'd like, and gave her some options like...

1. Some really good Morrocan Olive Oil ($26 a bottle) (Atlas Brand) with polyphenols that heal everything.
2. A mini upright black dry erase board and chalk markers
3. Some herbs from a plant nursery and I asked her to tell me which three, ie, oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil, flat leaf parsley, etc.
4. Something like an apple pie or banana nut bread
5. Some errand she needs done

She said she'd most like the herbs, and selected flat leaf parsley, basil and mint.

Ok! Now I feel like she participated and I won't waste my energy getting something she doesn't like. So, asking what someone really could use is good.

I once gave her a test when MBI started to gain popularity. It showed ISFP. Perhaps this is really her type, if not for the numerous psychological traumas that distort her behavior extremely strongly. In any case, we do not communicate now.

I'm glad you found the perfect gift

ok. I am sorry. She'd probably love to hear from you, I don't think you ever stop loving your kids. Peace.
I obligate myself to step mother, even though I shouldn't, people are likely unaware of their effects.
I was mad at the toxic parents, but not too long. Forgave them because they were likely brought up traumatized themselves and don't know better. Anyway, its better to not totally close it off if possible. And they are probably sorry deep down.

Sad and real story, not mine, but it shows people change:

firstly, it seems you really like different kinds of articles, secondly - the story, of course, touches to tears, but personally I did not have enough information in the found diaries and many questions remained open. a beautiful story, but a little impractical IMHO.
