So I'm not sure if this is related to the MBTI at all,
but I have a hunch that N types on average are less attuned to things like clothing.

I think the last time I got new boxers was probably... years ago.
Same with jeans. Except last week I was sorting through some old packed clothing and found two brand new pairs of jeans that I fit into perfectly.

I'm wearing new underwear and new jeans. Holy fuck you guys. Not only do I look fabulous but I just feel ... good.

I know what you mean. I got new underwear for christmas and I bought some new pants yesterday because all of my other pairs had become ripped in the same spot and I figured I should have some pants that weren't adorned with duct tape. Oh also I got new shoes a week or two ago because the old ones were falling apart.

My lower body feels so fresh now.

Speaking of, I'm going to need new socks soon.

My current location is classified.
I think Intuitives feel the need to care less about clothing. I saw in a study (might be able to find it) that Ns were generally more uncomfortable while wearing thick layers of clothes. IN types usually care the least, focusing more on ideas than appearance, while ENFJs and the like tend to be well-dressed but not overdressed. I think it might be an NJ vs. NP thing as for who cares the least.

I tread the line between both. I rarely invest in clothing. But when I do, I invest well. I also consider how a garment will age before I buy it. Then I wear it until the end of its life cycle.

I generally put some careful consideration into outfit composition because it's important to do so. As the saying goes, the clothes make the man.

That new clothes feeling though...

I'm gradually wearing down everything good I ever owned, in the name of economy, as I live out of my car with my dog. Haute homeless?

I'm inclined to think N's can handle living out of a cave.

Maybe all S people are just defective specimina that have survived and reproduced despite some form of inbreeding only because of increased medical knowledge, living standards etc.

Doubt it. They probably figured out how to enslave happy cave dwellers.
