I know I did a bunch of those tests when I was in the phych ward so I went down to the hospital and got some medical records. When i got home they weren't in there. Just some stuff about my diagnosis and entry/release notes. I was disappointed angry.

ugh, so as I mentioned in mah rorschach test, I also got to take the MMPI-2 test recently, (jesus. fucking. christ. There were almost 600 questions.) It was extremely easy to see how the correlation to the MBTI types/functions.

I didn't see any other threads on the MMPI, so I just bothered to post it here since it was the first search that came up on intpf.

So, thus far I've got multiple intelligences (only slightly correlative :/ ... - i don't have enough data anyway); the MMPI - too easy, way too easy. The thing is it also measures well how "unhealthy" the person might be, obv certain types more inclined or a higher proclivity to display certain attitudes or in a certain way. And the Big-5 correlation - found in random studies and shared on PJ.

All I need now for (self) is an IQ test...lol, so far had free access to all these other ones, but not going to pay out of pocket for one...but if anyone had hookups :D
The next best thing I've got is the LSAT (very general correlation with IQ), but that won't be until next yr ;)

Oh, and

MMPI-2 & Dissociative Experiences Scale: Endorsed dissociative experiences at a frequency similar to patients with PTSD, unusual beliefs, unusual perceptual experiences, anxiety, and depression.

My curiosity centers around the following: This led to diagnoses of schizoaffective disorder- bipolar type, PTSD, and ADHD. Can anyone clear the fog as to which tests and results likely led to which diagnoses?

I could see some correlations, after having been able to mull over ~570 questions on the MMPI.

----> http://www.mindfithypnosis.com/mmpi-2-scoring

basically, to get those results via the MMPI2 u must have been in a pretty bad fucking place at the time.

How hilarious would it be if you scored awesome on the LSAT and then decided to go to med school?

Surgeon? No. Operating as any other doctor by way of what already exists? No. Research? Not enuf science minded...(yet)...I mean do I want 20 ph.ds and to know everything? ...lul :cat:

That brought nothing surprising/new to the table. Already theorized anomie more so in T>F, depending on the stack or functions etc,

tl;dr ENTP shouldn't be surprising.

addendum: do continue to look at it this way, helpful contrast to my pure psychological approach, but nothing new yet.

I don't think you've quite realized the potential implications of that link in this context. :D Let's just say that I'd score much higher on some MMPI measures today than I would have then.

And I wouldn't think about T/F yet. Put it through the Dabrowski filter first.

I know exactly what you meant. That it is a simply natural way by way of the strain, evolution or whatever you want to call it.

...the best part is... I agree :phear:

Don't misunderstand me, it's not nearly that simple.

spending the majority of free time in contemplation of anomie, rather outside these cultural boundaries - somewhat helpful have lived/been out of this and others...not to mention the function are helpful

let's just use one over-simplified example of us versus the ISFJ, I'd love to see their MMPI and Big 5 measures of not openness + "deep devotion" versus inferior complex/superior complex compared to most ENTPs...

not saying that either type has to have either.......

just correlations...very simple

Nope. Well maybe yes. It depends on the definition of "it."

In evolutionary terms, this is punctuated equilibrium.

Think team assembly, targeting, self-fulfilling prophecies, predator/prey models...
...the best part is... I agree :phear:
If "it" is defined correctly and I have a wannabe lawyer friend who agrees... :phear:

Still has to go through Dabrowski before specific functions are examined. :beatyou:

Do eet!

LOL.

Not enough $$$ even if you had a good lawyer. The interest of the State would supersede that of the individual. They wouldn't fucking let you get away with that much anomie, esp as a "danger" to society. Danger in ""'s because we don't need to be pedantic about how it could be a "positive" instead.

Right down to it: not enough $

Goku is actually right. Why put labels on everything?

The voice of anti-psychiatry? Or a simple misunderstanding?

To me a 'label' is just a starting point for a journey of discovery. It is an indication on a direction, like being in a featureless desert and all directions are the same. But the dunes have a pattern, so you take a vector and see where that takes you.

A label is important in the sense it justifies getting medical care or expenses paid. But it is also a frame of reference that you can look at exploring personal issues. It provides a hook to hang a therapeutic approach onto and it gives a qualification perhaps of the seriousness of the symptoms experienced.

As you know, nothing is a symptom until a pattern emerges out of the collection that disabled someone in their social functioning.

So a label is a lot more than just a generalized stamp on a person upon which a specific treatment is unleashed. I guess that happens though. But any well-trained psychologist would not or should not limit his own approach to solve issues only based on a diagnosis.
