My therapist did the test with me wednesday Nov 25. It took 3 hours. It will take more time for her to calculate (g). Comparing the test I took in 2009 I think I took the WAIS-R in 2009 not 4 as I had thought because the test I took wednesday was more complex and said #4 on the box.

Verbal Comprehension 132
Perceptual Reasoning 121
Working Memory 95
Processing Speed 86
Full Scale 113

Normally I don't seem slow because when I talk to people it is usually only about one thing at a time and that it is abstract because language is abstract. It just takes me time to get things in and out when they are arbitrary data. I cannot add numbers of the items prices in the groceries store. I would fail at being a cashier with no calculator and had to do it in my head.

My numbers would probably look similar, I almost lost my driving licence because of "processing speed" and perhaps working memory when connecting numbers or something on a piece of paper. (It's called "idiot test" in germany, the police requires you to do it, when they hate you for being an anarchist and fake evidence to justify it. i was supposed to have white powder in my nose, lol that shit was dead skin. so i'm officially an idiot. but the doctor closed two eyes about it)

@nanook i am too scared to drive a car and if i had my licence i cannot afford a car on only $700 a month. plus where would i go?

Well the reason I see the therapist is because I have problems. :D She is a free therapist with a phd that I have been seeing since june but she will be gone next year. I told her I took an IQ test when I was in the mental hospital in 2009. So also I guess that she thinks I am smart when we talk so she wanted to know why a smart person would be on Social Security Disability.

So I guess that I will have known her 6 months but she will be gone and I like talking to here because I don't get to talk to smart therapist often. When we talk she understands my explanations and comments back. It seems that most people she talks to I am assuming have low metacognition. Because I have high metacognition I can understand why she asks her questions and stuff. So she thinks that is odd for me to be mentally disabled.

That is by far the coolest therapist you have. Its too bad you can't keep them, they seem spot on.

I assume the perceptual reasoning test is the typical figure reasoning test (Raven matrices type of test)?

If so, this is the type of test which normally correlates the best with the overall score (or the "general intelligence quotient" (g)). It doesn't seem to be the case in this exact combination of tests, though. If you have trouble with memory and processing time, I suspect you also have a sleeping pattern imbalance. If you have trouble sleeping, try to not use sleeping pills or drugs. It will only sedate you, and not necessarily give you REM sleep. The idea of sleeping pills is to sedate you so your body can relax enough to go in to real sleep. But if you have a melatonin imbalance - which is the "sleep hormone", you won't get sleep this way, and will wake up exhausted from the sedation. If you have trouble with sleeping, look into melatonin hormone treatment, which could help you restore the balance. Consult your doctor for a checkup.

I cannot add numbers of the items prices in the groceries store. I would fail at being a cashier with no calculator and had to do it in my head.

This could be a sign of dyscalculia - which is not related to intelligence. But also, if you rarely do calculations in your head, it does take som practice to get a hang of.

I think you can find g by averaging the the coefficient times verbal and perceptual.

Processing speed has a coefficient of 0.4 with g I read but I don't know verbal or perceptual. Ravens is perceptual and yes there were ravens questions.

I do have sleeping problems. Sometime I sleep during the day and sometimes I sleep 2 days in a row. I stayed up all night tonight.

The last ten minutes of the three hours I felt like fainting and missed some questions because I blanked out. Had to do with scales and how many triangles equaled how many squares plus circles and others.

This could be a sign of dyscalculia - which is not related to intelligence. But also, if you rarely do calculations in your head, it does take som practice to get a hang of.

I don't think I have dyscalculia.

I am not sure which subtest have to do with PS but on one I remember it took me 3-4 minutes to arrange (9p6qn) into (69npq) numerical then alphabetical order. I had to pause a long time because if I did not I would have forgotten the numbers and letters before I could arrange them.

She gave me the raw and scaled scores.

Block Design raw 61 scaled 15
Similarities raw 32 scaled 14
Digit Span raw 23 scaled 7
Matrix Reasoning raw 22 scaled 13
Vocabulary raw 47 scaled 14
Arithmetic raw 15 scaled 11
Symbol Search raw 23 scaled 6
Visual Puzzles raw 21 scaled 13
Information raw 24 scaled 18
Coding raw 67 scaled 9
Letter Number Sequence raw 21 scaled 10
Figure Weights raw 24 scaled 16
Comprehension raw 29 scaled 13
Cancellation raw 28 scaled 6
Picture Completion raw 8 scaled 6

Most were timed on her cell phone and I did not know who wrote the book Alice in Wonderland.

So you actually tried when you did the test?

I took something similar when I was in the hospital and did very poorly on it though I have no idea what the actual numbers were. I tried to acquire them from the hospital years later, but to no avail. I was not trying to come up with the best possible answers at the time I took it in 2007 but I suppose that is no excuse. I tried to get a psychologist to get another psychologist to administer the test for me, but my psychologist said he doesn't do them and said he needed a reason to request the administration to do one and no reason was able to be made. That is why I asked for the reason why you took the IQ test. I guess that means I am stupid for not coming up with a good enough reason for the test to be administered. Oh well, I can live knowing I am not the smartest person in the room. My guess is that the psychologist did not want to disappoint me knowing I would not score very well on the IQ test. He did always say I have "very good awareness" though, but I think in context it was a bit different than intelligence.

@QuickTwist

Maybe it is because you are doing so well that you do not need to at this time. I don't think I understood what was happening when I did the test in 2009 the first time. I still have lots of problems and she noticed them when we talked.

In terms strictly speaking of psyche I think I am doing fine. My productivity however is very poor. The last psychologist I had said I need to get away from the computer and do something different because they feel I am conditioning my brain in a way that is not good. I'm paraphrasing the reason, but that's basically it. Thing is, I feel trapped - like I am addicted to the internet and can't break free of the addiction. More specifically, I am addicted to the stimulation it gives me. Its a pretty pathetic problem, but there are some very clear reasons for it.

There was a pop-psychology test I recently took and one of the questions what what pattern interests you the most. The one I chose was the words "Therapy, Therapy, Therapy, Therapy,"
