Do you tend to listen to music that fits your specific mood at the time? Or do you find yourself listening to music to change your mood?

Personally I will choose music to fit my mood at the time. My mood will vary significantly so there's always a diverse selection of music to be heard.

I choose music based on my mood. I read it's something INTPs do because it helps us get in touch with our Fe. I believe it.

I always choose music that fits my mood. Music that doesn't fit my current mindset just annoys me.

Usually one that fits. I may try to change but it will take 2 or 3 songs to change my mood

I typically listen to music that fits my mood. However, if I want to (calm down for example) change my mood I'll listen to something else. It is something I have to be ready for though.

yeah, i also read something about Fe being responsible for that. and Fi being just the opposite -- someone who uses Fi might prefer to listen to music that will change their mood (from worse to better or whatever). or i could just be making that up, iunno.

I choose a song which matches how I'm feeling, even when I don't know how I'm feeling. I'll notice it later, after the song helps me find out how I was feeling.

"The mystery of emotion is also evidence in the INTP's use of music. He always chooses to listen to music which suits his current emotional state, be it aggression, warmth, excitement, relaxation or whatever. Hence, the emotional state is assumed to be an unchangeable, mysterious property of himself. It is easier to choose appropriate music than to attempt to influence this. People with introverted Feeling, Fi, however, will deliberately choose to listen to music which helps them change and improve their mood. INTPs could never do that. They feel an unpleasant sense of disharmony whenever a music style clashes with their emotional state. Indeed, it is remarkable how much attention they pay to their emotions when music is involved."

Usually I just put whatever sounds good at the time. Though the times when I'm really sad I may listen to something melancholic. Yeah, yeah I know I'm so emo. :D

I match the music to my mood. In times of depression it is embarassing because I 'sulk.'

I don't listen to much music.

I do play the guitar, rarely these days, and the random songs I make do change in genre. I'm not sure if that's any indication.

Though, it's strange, I've never experienced much changes in mood; i guess i have a problem with emotion.

Ah yes, probably why I'm not so fond of music; sometimes it only serves as noise.

Music that doesn't fit my mood is an annoyance. Not only that but it ruins the song...

Which sucks 'cause it means I'm more likely to wallow in my misery instead of being able to change it.
