i remember that movie, but to be honest i dont think will smiths character was an intp, because even if an intp thought of such a crazy thing to do, the chances of them actually carying it out are slim to none. to be honest will smiths character, though it has been a while since i've seen it, strikes me as more of a j type of character. i guess i don't really remember enough to make an accurate assessment though.
I saw Will Smith's character as a once happy individual who lost it all due to his own folly. He then decided to end his life with some meaning.
It's pretty safe to assume that he was an Introvert and a Thinker.
People probably just didn't watch the movie...I'll download it and watch it tonight. O shit nvm I don't have speakers...maybe i'll rent it...O shit I forgot I have no money...lol I'll wait till my gf wants to watch it with me.
I saw it too, inspired by this thread. Total E before the accident, turned in on himself and went into "contemplating mode" which makes him look like an introvert. Hamlet is another character who seems like an E but something happened which put him into contemplating/reflecting mode, giving him some of the traits of an INTP.
Maybe that's how people see us - as "normal" extroverts who are just in contemplating mode?
We think Will Smith's character was an Extrovert from that one flashback that showed him laughing? If so, he was slightly drunk. And, INTP's are supposed to be gregarious and confident with people they're comfortable with.
If I thought of something as poetic as what he did, I could see myself doing it.
You have got to be a J type to actually to through with all that crap. I mean, I could definitely think it up. I think up crazy shit like that all the time. But to actually go through with it. No.
It was an okay movie. The random emotional outbursts were kind of annoying. They were so good in their enactment that they were annoying. hmm. He seemed NFJ. Couldn't tell whether I or E
