I usually get these like once a year because family will come over and i get no time to be alone.
Side note, does anyone else have a weird insomnia where you cant turn off your mind?

In regards to side note: Yes, I get insomnia because my mind doesn't shut up. I have sleeping pills i can take to help. I also run a white noise generator so my mind doesn't focus on and think about things I can hear at night.

I'm not sure what you consider as emotional outburst.

What of someone who expresses emotions consistently, wearing them on thier sleeves.

If they are consistent and predictable in their expression, there can be some constant erosion of patience there for me but at least I'm aware of what their responses will be and I can mentally prepare.

I think the people who act just fine, then freak out in unpredictable ways, are the hardest to deal with. They are not "safe" to be around. I don't like getting blindsided; large blasts of unexpected emotion freak me out and I need to get some distance.

...which leads me to be honest and admit that I used to do the "bottle and occasionally explode" thing when I was younger. It was worst when I got married because I could no longer retreat and get space, my spouse wouldn't let up. (Dismissing emotions only works when you're in a place where you're not constantly stuffing more in the bottle.) So bottling emotion no longer worked for me; I was forced to actually address it rather than suppress it. That took me some years to get a handle on.

I think I've only had one real outburst in the last 5-10 years, and it was with someone who aggressively unexpected pursued me and I couldn't get any space from them. They knew how to push my buttons. But before then? Pretty much doesn't happen anymore.

I probably get them once a year but I do get them in times of extreme stress.

My grandmother died within the last year and I bottled everything up and started crying at my robotics club in front of ten boys. That was embarrassing since they did not know why I started crying and because I ruined my tough INTP emotionless exterior.

My mom also died a few months ago and I pushed everything down (I know its not good but I don't care). We did a death unit in health class which I was fine with until I was asked who I would spend my last hour on earth with (dead or alive people). I started crying because I just wanted one more hour with my mom (she died very suddenly). I was sent to the guidance counselor.

Very rarely to the point I remember them clearly. I was a teenager in both cases, and it was due to my mother or sister annoying me.

Like once in my life I think. And it was because I was literally having a mental breakdown of psychosis.

Few times a week. It's usually when someone really annoys me or I annoy myself
