Does this sound weird to you?
Mednafen is a cross-platform emulator (I'm using the GNU/Linux one).
And I've figured out that is supports NetPlay.
What does this mean?
Anyone can fire up any ROM for any retro game platform that will work with the emulator, even Sega Master System and Virtual Boy, although I prefer SNES.
Read here:
http://mednafen.sourceforge.net/documentation/netplay.html
The thing is, I'm probably gonna continue mucking around with this. I have no Website I can use to host the server or hide my IP address, so I dunno how this is gonna work out for me. Cool idea though, isn't it. Anyone else have an opportunity to roll your own server and give this a try?
