Google to provide the best services must get you the search results you want. But to do so they must anticipate when and what you want. In 2016 when depmind became part of Google they invented an algorithm to do so. This cut electricity costs by allot. This algorithm I suspect builds a model of the world based on all the data it gathers and then runs micro simulations that are the people, places, and objects that will influence what we will do on the internet.

The algorithm must be accurate thus it must not run excessive simulations only the most important parts and this means they need compression sub-algorithms. The way this works is to cut down on what will most likely not happen but focus on what will happen almost all the time. Outliers are rare so by knowing what will happen they need less energy to run the simulations.

The more accurate this process is the more they can build models of the real world and the more they can sell products to its customer base. As time goes on it may be the case that the resolution will increase until the people inside the simulation are perfect models of the people outside the simulation.

www.startpage.com is a better option than google because its an anonymous search engine. I use it much more than google, I might use google to find images mostly and startpage for everything else.

Theres a lot about the world that the algorithm doesn't understand.

The whole internet can be seen like a mall. You can say that Google builds highways and routes between them.

Google just wants you to get to where you want to go as fast as possible. Of course, with as few questions as possible.

Yeah they might have some insight into a person's psychology, but I'm sure it's not that simple. It would need to integrate information about models that people have already built. The algorithm itself didn't build the model.

If the algorithm was self-assembling it might build the models by itself layer by layer.

That is what I would do and have been working on.
