Not sure what you want to know, but they're talking about the real-life mafia game, which I believe to be very different from pbf based on the amount of factors that are excluded from forum play.

Also they're extrapolating to R population, so they aren't accurate or concerned with the smaller scales, like the ones we are using R<20.

I know, there are a lot of differences between the way they describe the game and the way the game is played here. Just thought some people might be interested in reading it.

... the coverage of the GM sending personal messages for folks was interesting. That would change the game immensely, but maybe not in the way that you'd think. Because Town still wouldn't be able to trust that Town is Town (so just because someone tells you something in private doesn't mean they would be being honest), but if Mafia knows all the other Mafia, then it basically gives them free day communication.

Yeah, I don't actually understand the math behind it, but I've had it explained to me.
