Quite a while ago I got really into MBTI with a friend, and eventually later dropped it as an interest due to uncertainties about its realistic accuracy and application, but today, as a fellow INTP, I'm introducing myself to you, a community who does in fact seem genuinely like-minded in hopes that by exploring you I may gain some useful insight about myself.

So, some fun facts:

  • I'm fresh out of high school, but I can't bring myself to go to college yet because I hated school so much, so I'm spending some time trying to appreciate life more, aka sitting at home all day
  • Anime's pretty cool
  • I really like the idea of understanding why people are what they are, which is to say I really like what MBTI tries to do
  • My favorite meme is anything from the Youtube channel SiIvaGunner
  • I play Pokemon Go everyday
    (I don't)

Hope our time together is useful to both of us

also nice emotes :elephant:

Hello Melo Kelo (pretty sure you engineered that)

Was there anything from hs that sparked even a little interest? The college experience can be a world of difference from gradeschool, there's a good chance you'd flip and enjoy it.

Also there's nothing wrong with taking a break to finally relax and figure things out, but getting an early start just makes almost everything easier in the long run(doesn't even have to be college ofc).

The short answer is no, it was too difficult to get too interested in any subject since I was in such an edgy and isolated phase, so my known interests are pretty much just going off the fact that I used to like drawing a lot, and I've been playing video games my whole life.

Though I know college is for many a place to find out more about those interests, I don't feel like I'm even at that step yet, making studying a waste of time and money, so I really need some time to reorient myself and pick up all the little (and some big) things I've been ignoring and missing out on in the world and in myself.

Then I hope I can set off and do something interesting with my life, but there's no commitment I'm currently interested in taking besides the one I've already made to my position.

I don't know what your financial relationship with your parents is like but in some ways becoming employed right after graduation can increase your freedoms. Just something to think about.

But yeah what you said is totally fine, you're still young and have time to experiment and make mistakes.
