I thought Vault of Evil looked pretty cool. They like to kvetch about the state of the publishing industry a lot. It's mainly about horror, but there's also a section on science fiction and fantasy.

I aint real keen on all that book learnin. Papa says the good book the only thing I need ta read. One time I says Amen to that and he laughed real loud like. He call my brother able because he work so hard but I red that first story and wonder if that the real reason he call able.

I always thought the OT was essentially a lengthy, detailed operating manual for owners of mercy seats, but yeah, now that you mention it, there was an awful lot of "so-and-so slew so-and-so." I don't know what I think of it as literature, but I did enjoy a class I took a while back on The Bible as Myth.

The World Literature Forum looks pretty good, though it lacks the arrested-adolescence appeal of Vault of Evil.
