the INTPs are supposed to have simple daily needs, I thought a thread where we list them would be fun:

toilet
microwave leftover pasta, put something in the oven/on the stove twice a day
take a hot shower since the water is free, dont use soap or shampoo cause it's unnecessary, in the evening
browse the web

I like how you list toilet and showers as needs, but soap as ... Unnecessary

How else does one adequately clean ones asshole? Just let the water run over it?? Maybe I misinterpret "need", as in, you "need" to cook your food, or do you??

I think you're all over the map with identifying wants and needs and entangling your personal opinions in the midst

Just don't ever touch me or my beard:p

-water
-food of some sort
-internet and a device capable of accessing it
-personal space, to be shared with close family or friends if necessary, but preferably free from foreign intrusion
-temperature within comfort zone
-a decent ammount of freedom
-oxygen
-enough sunlight to satisfy basic bodily needs, more is optional
-the 4 fundamental forces of nature
-someone who understands and/or accepts you, if possible multiple of these individuals

That should be enough for most INTPs to live on indeterminately.

Where is the toilet? Is the room heated? Who pays for the heat? Does the water require a hand-pump? If not, who pays for the electricity and the water?
Even cold water isn't free in much of the world (though the cost might be walking through dangerous territory to find a well); who pays to heat the water?
What computer do you use to browse the web? Who pays for the Internet connection, the computer, and the electricity?

A few work clothes, a few casual clothes
My cell phone (to text and check internet stuff)

I've been living pretty simply in the last year or two due to financial issues, it's been pretty impressive how stripped back (for me) I've been able to live. My apartment is really just my kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom.

  • I get up early and get on the computer. If life is going well I have a project to work on, if not then I goof off.
  • I make 3-6 cups of tea
  • Around 6-8 will exercise and break-fast
  • Work until noon
  • Eat lunch, mostly the same thing every day
  • Work until about 3, then play until 5 where if it's the winter I'll have dinner
  • Go to bed early

So basically all I really need is my house, office and simple diet, plus my family and getting out occasionally.

Being the fucked up needy student that I am:

-basic needs( sleep, social interactions, toilettes, food, oxygene)
-money to do whateva I want.
-to read random new ideas and to analyze them....
-take a daily walk outside for 30 min-1hour ..
-to have social interactions with random people( groups, network, INtp forum,..Etc).
-to think about my uncertain future and how to optimize it..
-to do nothing(which is a basic need !).
-to lay a girl vs to masturbate from time to time.
-When I get a stable situation... I'd love to daily take some time(3-4 hours/day) to read extensively and to understand/analyze/crossthinking certain topics, write(since writing, thus sharing ideas with the public is a certain end goal !) and to express myself artistically in one way or another.
(THis I think is the main lacking factor in my life currently, and it hurts badly since art is main emotional outlet... I accumulate bad emotions and then feel bad.)
-to see family from time to time
-to perfection my knowledge and understanding of the world that surrounds me.
-to travel outside the country( monthly need) and to meet new cultures.
- to meet few new girls a week.( I love to interact with girls !).
- to do some sport or some dancing( also an emotional outlet !).
-..etc

Basically my daily needs consist of feeding and contenting Ti-Ne-Si... and a lil bit Fe( with my family, friends and social interactions with random people, pick up some random girls..Etc).

PS: To work is not a daily need yet...

- Drink
- Food
- Time alone, rarely happens (It is necessary because otherwise I get agitated, angry and muddled. Though it specifically happens around my family, I can spend all day with friends).
- Internet
- Listening to music/discovery of new music
- TV for ambient noise/light while I use my laptop
- My Kitten, because she is a sick cunt
- Cotton boxers/trackies and a hoodie for maximal comfort
- Several sleeps throughout the day
- An idea or concept that I believe I will carry out long term but lasts a maximum of two days, from one to the next
- I fucking love music

and most of all...
- The belief that one day, I might actually do something spontaneous or out of the ordinary like go live in the forest for a week or go out of my way to make a stranger happy.

I'm not certain what's meant by "daily needs". I do not require food and water every day, neither do I a home. But days when those things are present are certainly preferably to those which they are not.

If we are talking about a cold environment, then shelter would be part of my daily needs, I guess. So would heat.

Food, clothing, shelter. (Availability of sustaining input and facilities to dispose of waste.)

A process and a target to keep me going during the day which supplies the illusion or reality of enduring and prevailing over my environment.

If these lists are what people, 'need' I wonder what they'd respond if asked what they, 'want'.

Wake up,
me and my dog greet each other with cuddles and grunts.
Have at least 3 cups of tea before 'getting up'
Swallow vast amount of scientifically beneficial vitamins and supplements to aid physical and mental recovery.
Check BBC website to see how much the world has deteriorated over night.
Time alone with my thoughts to analyze the information ingested to form a solution and satisfy my thought process.
Check facebook to ensure no family member or friend is in hospital (or worse!).
Smile at intelligent memes and interesting posts by I f**king love science that trawls my FB news feed.

This is my daily routine but in all honesty, I could probably live without the internet.
So only the 1st 5 lines count...oh and time alone with my thoughts (couldn't live without that one!)
Simple enough?

1). Ask myself to tune into body to see what supplements I need that day, ie, B complex, B12 with MTTHF, D3 with K2, Iron, Magnesium, Enzymes, Garlic, etc, etc. Take whatever I am needing. Ask myself, what do I WANT my environment to be like. Pick something about it to improve/work on.
2). Stretch legs and feet for Plantar Fasciitis issues, chose shoes that are different depending on foot pain.
3). Cook dinner early in the day with high protein so I don't have a blood sugar crash, ie, always have meat available from the moment I wake up, by going to freezer, taking out something in the front, thawing it in oven for 40 minutes, then cooking it.
4). Making Espresso Bean coffee, fill to the #6, or 8 line with water, and use 6 or 7 scoops espresso, either freshly ground or store ground and using a Dash egg maker to poach or hard boil or omelet an egg.
5). Cut a big Russet potato into wedges with skin on, put into a baking pan with olive oil, cayenne, salt, garlic powder, parmesan and roast for 40 minutes.
6). Watch CNN, MSNBC, Weather. Turn on Philo TV and watch MeTV or MeTV Toons to get rid of the news mind.
7). Wash dishes, dog bowls, feed dog fresh meat just made from #3.
8). Take out trash, straighten a little, look for a corner of the house to work on, such as folding clothes, hand washing areas of floors, feeding squirrels or birds. IF I need a shower or the dog needs one, take it before 4pm.
9). Going to social media sites like Blue sky, Wordpress, Nextdoor, Facebook and reading up various notifications. Cringe at local peoples customs and appreciate I don't know them.
10). Making lists or shopping for items. Cleaning up social media and email. Texting family members once a week to see how they are doing.
11). Attempting to do something creative OR learn something creative on youtube like painting, cooking, etc, usually Americas Test Kitchen, Cooks Country, Emeril, Ina Garten, Gordon Ramsey, etc.
Craftsy tv, Youtube, or Facebook painters, or Gaia TV spiritual tv tips or Nostalgia tv, sometimes I like Maine Cabin Masters, Westerns, Classic Movies on TCM.
12). Wash something the dog was on like couch covers, towels, or laundry. Go to sleep reminder is at 9:30pm, but I usually go to bed after 10 or 11. Oh yes, every time the dog goes outside, she is a houdini dog and finds a way out of the fence to the neighbors yard or outside and so I spend time calling/chasing/fixing fences, but no matter what, she always escapes to run around and get exersise. Really weird dog that I often regret adopting. Lesson: Its better to get them as little puppies. She was a year old and developed a lot of bad habits from her first owner. And Lesson #2, likely, she is in heat and that is what causes female dogs to want to explore. I had a male schnauzer who was PERFECT, never wanted to escape, was a true best friend. I learned you want to chose a young male puppy over a previously owned female dog, they are so much harder.
I resort to a comfortable recliner and watch too much tv in between tasks. But as long as I have cooked a meal, kept a little momentum of daily cleanup or cooking, then, I have no choice, I must be happy with that. Fairly simple lifestyle, no people, one pet, shop twice a month, never eat out. My issue with clothes is that while I was working, I overshopped Lands End so I am always trying to pare down the piles of clothes and have never worn most of them. So, I'm always working on giving away or throwing out clothes and shoes. I like excel spreadsheets for bills and budgeting and spend time making new columns with dates extending into the future for planning out expenses. You'd be surprised at the hundreds and hundreds of email file folders I have, where I organize important email into folders. I can't even count all the different topics, but I bet I have more folders than anyone on the planet.

I'm super low maintenance.

Wake up (preferably before 8 AM)
Go to the bathroom
Weigh myself on a smart scale (which is not that smart, honestly)
Morning meds (multi-vitamin, Amino Acids, ADHD med [non-narcotic])
Go on a prayer walk (yes, even if it is -20 Celcius/-4 Fahrenheit outside)
Do my devotions
Journal (paper, not like it costs much as I get my notebooks at the dollar store)
Coffee (I grind my own beans and do French press if you care to know. Just 20 oz a day)
Eat some cereal (same thing every day, pretty much)
Social media/forums
Work out if it is a workout day
Protein powder drink (sometimes with Amino Acids, sometimes not)
Take a shower if it is a shower day (and yes, I use soap; what the heck, people don't use soap?)
Eat lunch (usually a smoothie with raspberries, kale, almond milk, Greek whole milk yogurt, ground flax seed, honey. This is my most expensive meal by far)
Run errands if I have any
Social media/forums >Snack (usually protein bar, walnuts, or a cherry Pepsi)
Dinner (Chicken breast cooked in coconut oil)
Read or do Social Media/forums
Meds (Anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers, Awshaganda, Omega 3-6-9, Magnesium Glycine, melatonin)
Bed

Obviously, I need heat and air conditioning, a bed, a place to spend my day, bills paid, and whatever, but that's about all I need. I have a Pull-Up bar so I don't have a gym membership and I just do calisthenics.

I need the evening to myself with complete silence. I work a lot with people in the day but I need that time to myself. No animals, no one.

If I can get a hot bath after work I’ll take it.

9 hours of sleep.

New music to listen to.

A long solitary walk, at a rapid pace, preferably through woods or hills.

I saw a foot doctor and asked for physical therapy for foot pain. Started doing exersizes to rebuild certain muscles that atrophied near my arch.
So, sometimes PT is the answer. And also, look for a physical therapy book for students or therapists, as an idea. Anyway, its already working after just one session, I just had to learn to turn my weight to the outer foot edges and flex upwards to rebuild that arch. https://a.co/d/bNPRIG5
Stretch Strap: https://a.co/d/5siG6eX 3 sets of holding for twenty seconds for each foot. Pull up and lean forward.
And a 6" ball between the feet, then push inwards. 2 sets of ten with five second rests. https://a.co/d/fz5FTE4
With Physical Therapy, I can look forward to standing or cooking for longer periods now. So glad.
And, Kung Fu Hero has some interesting moves to attempt as well. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550861400055&sk=reels_tab
