Lets theorize a little bit, how would your life be different if
1. You were born the opposite sex?
2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?
edit: Assume you kept the same mind/personality expect for the attraction and sex centers
3. Humans were asexual?
4. You were born a hermaphrodite?

1. Eh, nothing, I'd live the life I have now, not much difference.
2. I honestly can't answer that, my parents would probably get pissed and blame it on me, I don't know what would happen after that.
3. I can't imagine what that would be like.
4. Suicide :D (no offense to hermaphrodites).

1. It would probably be very different because people would have treated me differently, but I have insufficient information to work out exactly how it would have been different.
2. I don't know. I'd not be very happy about it, I like being male. I'm very attracted to maleness. I'd just have to get by being female, I guess.
3. Again, my life would be unimaginably different - the single most defining experience of my life so far has been falling in love. Would love still exist? I'd have no desire for sex, which also would have influenced my life quite heavily.
4. Much like being born the opposite sex.

1. You were born the opposite sex?
As a believer that we're largely shaped by our environment, I most likely would be largely different personality-wise than I am today, given that males are treated differently than females. I'd probably still hate facial hair though.

2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?
I probably would get beat up a lot. Referring to everyone indiscriminately as "woman" or "female" probably wouldn't go down too well if I wasn't female myself. And instead of being "that sarcastic girl", my name would be "asshole" or "douche".

3. Humans were asexual?
We'd still live in a stratified society based on other things.

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?
I'd pick one and never share the truth with anyone except the person I love.

1. You were born the opposite sex?
I would most likely turn into a sociopath due to the increased ability to manipulate others with my new social skills and looks. And the fact that teachers had a bias toward females in my classes, I may have been liked by a lot more of them. Otherwise, I was a smart-ass that questioned what they taught. I would instead be the smart girl who asks questions and participates. Don't you love society?

2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?
Depends, would I keep my masculine mind? There would be a few things I would want to try... Otherwise, I would go to #1.

3. Humans were asexual?
Well, as I tend to struggle with this myself at times, I guess I would probally have saved myself a lot of money and gotten a lot more done without worrying about love or girls.

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?
My pride + me being a hermaphrodite = suicide.

Lets theorize a little bit, how would your life be different if:

1. You were born the opposite sex?

My dad would have liked me more. He loves my 2 brothers, not my sister and I.

2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?

I would probably look gay, since I'm feminine.

3. Humans were asexual?

That would be awesome.

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?

Pick one and never speak of it again.

1. You were born the opposite sex?

i'd probably have an unbearably massive bottle of hatred for aggressive males and would have a default peer group of a lot of condescending annoying whiners. I think it would really, really suck. But on the bright side, i would have awesome genitalia.

2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?

 :storks: :kilroy:

3. Humans were asexual?

No need for 2012 myths

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?

They usually cut you for that, don't they? But if they decided not to, that would mean uber-genitalia along with an automatic ridiculously alternative lifestyle. I might just masturbate all the time

haha! awesome thread - hilarious. :D I'm curious to see what you are getting at (I have an idea though). Nevertheless! My response:

1. You were born the opposite sex?

Life would be easier in some ways (socially) and more difficult in others (work etc.)

Like omg did you see Becky's clothes? She's such a slut. haha

2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?
edit: Assume you kept the same mind/personality expect for the attraction and sex centers

I would probably be disgusted at the lack of smart guys in the pool. Hurr durr sports and beer dude! I would also probably be scared for my life. (Ladies there is an animal inside each man).

I wonder, do you ladies have that same animal inside?

3. Humans were asexual?

We would actually get shit done than focusing on sex and relationships all the time. They just had a Futurama about this last thursday. I caught some of it. I wonder if this is where the idea came from.

At the end of the day our biological function is to procreate.

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?

Have my own circus sideshow.

1) Born the opposite sex I would have been better supported, educated and respected, I'd have more confidence and higher pay. I might have achieved great things. But I wouldn't have been a mother and probably wouldn't end up in the kind of job where I get to fly off to disaster zones or impact community development. I wouldn't recognise myself.
2) If I changed sex today I would immediately pee on a wall and then start lifting heavy things. That would be totally cool.
3) If we were asexual we'd get more work done and annoy each other less.
4) If I'd been born a hermaphrodite I'd be long dead - there's no way my parents could have dealt with it and I would have felt like too much of a freak to deserve to live.

If we were asexual, wouldn't our species have ceased to exist long time ago? Back in a time where we didn't have the ability to determine if our existence was worthwhile.

Being born as a hermaphrodite would be interesting. But society would probably make me hate myself.

Being born as a male. Well, I'd probably do a lot of the same stuff I do now; read, gaming, long solitary nights on the computer, melkor flirting with me.

Or you would go to the male dominated school I did, and still be treated worse. Don't think it only goes one way.

Also, it's not unusual for an INTP to be told not to ask too many questions in class.

Like omg did you see Becky's clothes? She's such a slut. haha

If you were still INTP: No. No. Cava would have your head for tat.

Aww, being asexual would suck, you guys. Sex is great.

Uhh... I think they meant "asexual" like "without gender" :D
Anyway:
1. Well, more sociable... like... I am almost never dancing, because I think that it is not for the guys, which are coming to the party to have fun. If it would have something to do with love, I would just say my prepared phrase "I don't know how to dance." and the dices are rolled for romantic evening (full of boring stuff). So, yeah, dancing... what next? Maybe... singing? Being prettier and nice to people? Yeah, stuff like that.
2. I am almost always thinking about this one. Well, it would not be for me so shocking, because I have prepared some scenarios for this one, some ideas etc. The true question is, if they (everybody I know in my daily life) would know me as the girl too, or if they would recognise me. If no, then I would play with them, especialy the outgoing ESTP's in my class :p. My family would be so sad, because I would be gone. I would miss in school (but my classmates wouldn't miss me, except some 2 or 3). I wouldn't tell anybody, maybe some close, but veeeryyy close friends. If answer is yes, then I would sh*t bricks, because it is worst scenario I have thinked about. Well, as girl recognized by everybody as boy beneath the surface I would be totally depressed and frustrated. Solve? Suicide!
3. (is it asexual question? I am not sure) The mankind would be probably more mankind :D. Everybody would be equal in the one more trait. So... there would be no emancipation of women, so there would just be... hmm... one... big... blank space in our history? Well, there would be just something else :p.
4. O_O Suicide. Instant.

Well, yeah, but we wouldn't have any genitals if we were sexless, would we? And then we'd have no sex. And that would suck.

I'd probably have a relationship already. It's way easier for girls. For the rest... not much.
2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?
I'd probably just... mess around with my brand new boobs. :I I'm sorry but that's probably all. Oh and everybody would probably be shocked and my life could get pretty weird.
3. Humans were asexual?
Seems kind of boring. I'd just... play games and stuff...
4. You were born a hermaphrodite?
I'm not sure... Only me? Or other humans as well? If it was only me I'd probably feel very insecure and weird my whole life.

Well? Nothing new under sun. (national idiom, but simple to understand)

If I was changed into a male, I would also be very unhappy. I like who I am, my social options would change, my social role would change, people would respond to me differently, my body would feel weird and not reflect my self-identity. In other words, it would suck.

3. Humans were asexual?
Life would seem very boring.

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?

Probably I'd feel kind of freakish and different, and would want to resolve things one way or the other, based on whatever I viewed myself to be.

Am I the only person who thinks they wouldn't change that much? I guess I would have better fashion sense and a new way to masturbate but I would still be an introverted smart-arse.

It depends on how extensively we're "imagining" this.

Realistically, your hormonal levels and your brain mapping would be different.

You would also be raised differently. There are certain expectations for boys and certain ones for girls, and typically male parents set the pattern for the boys and female parents for the girls. The social pressures on you to conform would be immense, depending on your environment and/or parents.

If we're not being realistic and you're just who you are now, then I guess you'd still be what you are now.

There is enough females on here that have similar personalities to myself though.

I like to think of this forum as a weird dimension where all you other INTP's are just me who grew up in different circumstances.

1. You were born the opposite sex?
Dunno, girly’er maybe?

2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?
I have always been jealous of dildos, that's right I've got dildo envy, my dick can do a lot of things but I've never made it vibrate (someday, someday, transhumanism ftw) and with the wide range available I can't imagine why I'd ever go through the bother of dealing with a boyfriend (then again I could find uses for a manservant). I suppose my initial reaction would be to check out how hot I am, maybe go buy some nice underwear (guys rarely if ever get the chance to feel sexy), prance around a bit and enjoy sitting down without fear of hurting my balls (ever noticed how rarely guys sit with their legs closed?), y'know, make the most of it.

If I ever feel like I'm missing my dick I'll just construct a strap-on catheter.
Heck I could probably buy one.

Edit: A vibrating strap-on catheter, that glows in the dark.

3. Humans were asexual?
Sexually harass everybody, all the time.
(they won’t understand)

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?
I'd tell anybody/everybody that displeases me to go fuck themselves, then laugh at them because they can't :D

1. You were born the opposite sex?
Physically, I would be similar to my younger brother.
Mentally and emotionally I would be vastly different.
I think life in some ways would have been more difficult
but I would have never grown up being so scared.

2. You were transformed into the opposite sex today?
I've always wondered what it would be like to experience
sex from the other gender. But now I'm imagining having
sex with a female and it's making me rather uncomfortable.
I don't think I would like it. I think it would be okay if I could
y'know, just like bend her over and we could have coitus like
animals. No kissing, touching, etc... but beyond that I would
be very very very out of my element and I probably would
have a very difficult time staying erect. If I were to be changed
into a man, I would have erectile dysfunction.
I am okay with this.

3. Humans were asexual?
Not worry about my erectile dysfunction as a man.

4. You were born a hermaphrodite?
I would look at myself and get xrays to figure out how
all that stuff fit on me/in me as well as in/on everyone else.

Dunno if this is an individual case but the kissing does get tiresome.

Not to worry, it comes with a mind of its own.

I can understand this. I imagine sex is way more awesome as a woman, which might be why men want more sex, a quantity-quality thing.

Not to worry, it comes with a mind of its own.

a) Kissing is annoying. When someone asks me if I want
to make out (what an awkward thing to ask, btw) I am
immediately turned off.

b) It comes with a life of its own? That explains a lot.

I tend to want to have sex more often than the males
I am with. Perhaps it's because I don't like kissing?
And I do not think that sex is more awesome for women
unless they get off. Males generally always get off during
intercourse whereas females generally do not.

This always makes me feel sad. I'd feel so bad knowing that my partner was faking 80% of the time. ):

Women are weird as hell. I always hear girls talk about 'Yeahhh, she thought he was too much of a friend so it just kept on going asdnasdfndsfn'
It's all damn complicated. Way too complicated. It's scary.

I think everyone's experience is different, so I can't speak for every other woman.

Case in point: I think sex is great even without "getting off," it feels darned good, and I love the emotional/physical closeness. I could see if you hate kissing, though, why that aspect of sex wouldn't do much for you.

Aside from that, guy orgasm seems to last about 5-10 seconds, while female orgasm seems to just go on and on (20 seconds? 30 seconds?) and is repeatable. It's just that guys seem designed to get there much quicker.
