I've just seen this film and I really need to talk about it. But being the friendless over-intellectualising type I'm sort of stuck for anyone to have an intersting chat with. So, have any of you seen it?

I saw it a few weeks ago. It's one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Probably one of the better vampire movies ever made, in my opinion. It's too bad more English speaking audiences aren't willing to watch films in other languages. Some of the best stuff is coming out of countries other than the US, lately. Hollywood's gotten complacent.

I'm in full agreement with you on your point about English speaking audiences reluctance to watch subtitled films. It's almost like cultural arrogance - as if no other country is capable of making top class movies. I don't understand those that cut themselves off from a whole world (minus a couple of countries) worth of experience. The usual argument I hear is "I can't be bothered to read; if I wanted to read I'd buy a book.". I don't get it when I've seen a foreign film as good as LtROI I come away from the cinema wanting to learn the language so that I can pick up on the nuances that subtitles necessarily lack - accent, emphasis...I'm sure I don't need to go on. Many of my favourite films are 'forrin' wiv words wot yew 'ave ter read an'such. I'd give a list but what's the point. If you're interested you've seen them, if you're not you haven't.

Next post will be back on topic but I'm bored of typing and you might think I'm stupid for wittering on.

Yes, this movie came as a surprise. it's warm and beautiful.

How can you, as an INTP, not to like movie about two little outsiders?

If you like non american films, there is (somewhere) a thread; maybe you find something interesting.

It was definitely a cool movie, although it was kind of slow and also I despise children.

I am yet to see this, it looks rather good from the reviews it has recieved, although I doubt it will escape comparisons to that awful, awful twilight movie.

I just saw this movie a few hours ago.

The music, the downplayed tone, and the subtlety of the actual relationship between Eli and Oskar were all damn near perfect in my opinion.

I loved it.

We do not support illegal stuff.... but yeah.... you're already on the internet, so use a bit logic and you're there.

I don't know... although I did find it interesting, as a grownup, there are few scenes hard to watch. I don't want to see preteens or teenagers graphical love story.
