Laughing fit

I don't know if this is an INTP thing or just me or whatever, but does anyone ever get in these weird laughing fits?

Example: I was at a plasma center donating earlier, reading a book while I waited for that annoying process to be over, when all of a sudden this guy does the funniest thing. If you haven't been to a plasma center before, they have the rows of seats and put a little trash bin in the front of each seat. Well this guy finishes and instead of getting out of the seat to the side, he jumps off the seat off the far end, landing both feet in the trash bin. He stood there for a couple seconds, realizing he just jumped in the trash. I cracked up and a few others laughed too. Thing is, for the next 10 minutes after this happened, the image of that happening kept coming back and it was just too funny. I had to cover my mouth and hold back laughing and shit so I didn't look like a lunatic laughing to myself.

This doesn't happen too often, but when something absolutely ridiculous happens like this, I get these weird laughing fits and have a really hard time controlling my self. Anyone else get this?

When I remember the absurdity of life, I laugh my fucking ass off.

Also, I'm not sure if plasma loss has the same affects as blood loss, but lightheadedness would lead to the laughter, and laughter is contagious.

Yes, i have a lot of internal thoughts that project comedy towards the outside world, and i have to restrain myself in order to not make an awkward expression.
I construct funny situations very often.
When one happens in real-time and no-one else but me gets it,
it is a real struggle.
Somehow, i don't quite find it that funny, when everyone else is laughing as well.

@TimeAsylums I should note that when I said a couple other people laughed, it was a small little chuckle. I was the only one who full out cracked the fuck up just because of how absurd it was.

@Salmoneus Yeah that's weird how that works, huh? Most things everyone else finds funny, I usually think is either mildly funny or just not funny at all. But then the things that have me hysterical, most other people don't find it as funny to the intensity I do. Possibly an Ne thing?

Well, do you invent funny situations in your head as well,
as a sort of alternative reality? :o

All the time. Well as long as I'm in a cheery mood or at least content anyway. If I happen to point out something ridiculous within my environment I thought up to someone else, most of the time others don't find it nearly as funny as I do. I'll get some response like "lol wtf you're crazy".

Then there's the ones who actually go along with whatever I said and add to the comedy in my head hah

Yup, one day in particular I was walking to the train station smiling. This guy with a tomahawk (hair not a hatchet) super emo and tough looking is walking towards me. Anyway he notices me smiling and assumes its at him and I notice him noticing me smiling. He starts looking like he wants a fight and I just crack up laughing. As this point he is so confused that his attempts at looking intimidating have gone amiss he takes a wide angle around me.

Now that was an isolated incident but it sets up the next one. Same day going home on the train after the first event. I look over and spot Tom Cruise. Well not Tom Cruise obviously but to my mind looked exactly like him. For an entire 40 minute train trip whenever I looked at him I couldn't help but laugh despite my best efforts not to. Now very soon he caught onto this and was mildly disturbed.

So yeah it happens. Many times.

I can relate to this.
Most people won't get it.
I have some highly intelligent friends who can appreciate it,
but usually others don't.
So, i keep it to myself and enjoy the show.
(On the other hand, i am also scared of acting in a way that would enable me to be the protagonist in someone else's head comedy cinema.)

I'm guilty of something similar. Awesome.

Laughing fits based on something hysterical that you've recently seen, gotten over, and then mistakenly revisited to your own chaGRIN?

All the time.

Not so long ago I was helping a friend renovate an apartment where he intends to move to. And there were two furnaces, one sprayed gold color and the other silver, My first thoughts:
ಠ_ಠ Did people who spray them that color also burn golden and silver firewood in them?
ಠ_ಠ I guess after they sprayed the golden one they ran out of money, so they bought a cheaper, silver spray instead...
ಠ_ಠ I think these were very poor people so to simulate wealth they sprayed everything in gold and silver colors.

There was also a moment when the only tools we had were a fork and a knife.
ಠ_ಠ Because a fork and a knife are the most valuable tools for renovation, or construction...
ಠ_ಠ I imagine a brigade of construction workers working with only forks and knifes... What happened, where are the tools? O it's nothing supervisor, John lost them in a gamble, but we'll get everything done in a week or two.

Nomatter what's the situation I can entertain myself to limitless extent if I want to...

Last time I saw a woman trying to push out of the way something heavy and making sounds, I thought about how someone might misinterpret that if it was to happen in an office: A woman trying to get something heavy out of the way and a man over at the pc saying words such as: Yes, come to papa, here it comes, quicker, quicker, come on, this is so good, etc. (he is printing a paper)

Same could be said about two construction workers working with something heavy in a closed room and later walking out and saying: Well that was some work we did there.

I am a terrible person, and you don't want to know how, believe me.

@Electromagneticradiation and Arel- thanks for a good ten minute laugh :D

I will sometimes imagine funny or extreme situations when I'm bored in class and don't really wanna listen to the teacher.

O, I remember school! Math teacher trying to explain maths using cake metaphor.
ಠ_ಠ Really, you talking about a cake durring a math class? What madness is this...

I don't even need to imagine stuff... people do it for me, and they think they look serios to others... who would take a math teacher seriosly who talks about a cake durring a math class?
No wonder math classes where just another doodle class for me, makes sense why I was pretty good at drawing...

ಠ_ಠ How can my usename be so dificult to spell when it has 4 letters, it's one of the shortes around here... is there some mystery involved?
ಠ_ಠ Because you're not the 1st one...
ಠ_ಠ I am serios most of the time...

@Arel- I know I wouldn't, I'd be too busy thinking about how much I would want a piece of cake. I don't pay attention in Math class anyway, teacher is from Korean making it even harder to understand what she's saying. And plus she looks at you like your stupid when you ask her for help on something. "Why you no understand?"

My first thought would be:
You intentionally asked me like that, did you not? Smart bastard... I'll play your game.

She's a toothpick so I'm pretty sure a smack the head would knock her out cold :D

I think my personal favorites is when I imagine scenarios of what would happen if like the cops came in and someone was busted for drugs. it would be even funnier if it was the teacher.

ಠ_ಠ I bet she'd try to pull the same one on cops too.
ಠ_ಠ One trick pony.

ಠ_ಠ I believe stupidity to be far scarier...
ಠ_ಠ You can give a deadly item to a smart person and he will probably not kill himself. Give anything to someone stupid and they will surely find a way to kill themselves with it. I take that back, they don't even need to be give anything, they will find a way to kill themselves on their own.

I get the same thing sometimes when someone says/does something funny. I'll have a laughing fit, calm down, then look them in the eye while I'm drinking a soda or something and choke on it in another laughing fit.

Surprised I've lived this long.
