ISTP, the most tolerable S type?

Of any sensor I've encountered, it seems as though the ones I can blend with best are ISTP.

I've been friends with every confirmed ISTP I've encountered, we can usually have a more involved discussion with one another than if I were talking to a different S type. Especially if you have a common interest, the conversation can last a while. They also seem less likely to small talk with you, which other sensors do.

ISTPs aren't bad. Healthy, they're direct and knowledgeable.

I'll throw ESFPs out there too, actually, for their skill at accomplishing things socially. Small talk and socializing are tools that they'll shed and direct to shared goals no problem.

I'm pretty sure my best friend is an ISPT, but I'm not completely certain. Definitely an ST of some description. And I love her - taught me the value of not conforming or trying to fit in a long time ago.

I've always found my interactions with ISTPs to be positive. In fact, the 'Se' sensors are (in my experience) all relatively fine to get on with.

Hmm.. ISTPs and ESTPs for me I guess. I suppose all the ESFPs I know are fun and pleasant enough. Bit shallow and dumb tho.

The only ISTP I've known sort of intimately was quite the enigma to me... and I quite admire my ESTP friends.

Clearly. Whether said friend is ISTP or not (and I'm pretty certain she is; she fits it quite well), still both perplexed and infatuated. Yeah, I sort of been in love with her for the past 13 years. So most likely my favourite of the S-types.

I just managed to test everyone in my family. Apparently my mother is ISFP.

Thinking about it, I don't think I have any particular type I can't stand. I thought I disliked feelers, but it turns out I'm the only T in my family and I've always liked everyone who's NF (turns out my brother in law is ENFP - which when I think about it also fits).

I thought I didn't like extroverts, but a close friend is ENTJ and we get on like brother and sister, so I don't think topology is really makes a difference to me. Everyone is interesting in their own way.

Mind you, I work with am ISTJ who is partnered with an ENFP. It's like watching a sitcom about a mismatched couple. I'd describe them somewhat like this:

I don't know, from a distance it should be fine but I could foresee a lot of butting heads if you try to get too close - that should happen. There may be some conflict of interest. Relations in general take a long time to properly form and it's not like most types would be loathe to get along with one another. Unless you're students working on projects together or something then you'd just have to hang out - and good luck. Whereas they're interested in mechanics, I can't speak for everyone as far as having the same mindset for focusing on the same thing.
