i find my self liking the creepier twisted or just generally darker things more (it more interesting) for example
the visual novel saya no uta
animes like serial experminets lain, shiki, umineko no naku koro ni, Ergo proxy, gantz
and i've recently been exploring and finding i like lovecraftian things

and i find that i'm more then capable of coming up with (and mentally enjoying) really twisted ideas (E.G. strap them to a wall spread eagle style and stick a turned on vibrator up the ass then give them a serum to put it{him/her doesn't matter} in mild pain then a little bit of ecstasy then oral sexin all at the same time while stimulating with the vibrator)

is this an intp thing or am i just really into horror and really de-sensitized to dark twisted outside the societal norms non-reality things

It may be a little bit of both. I'm forced to admit that I'm at least mildly sadistic, and have pleasured myself to strange porns and enjoys dark scenes in movies. Just make sure not to confuse fantasy and reality and you'll be fine.

I've been a fan of horror since I was a kid, I remember my mother letting me to rent an R16 horror film when I was 7.

I don't think it's an INTP however, sure there might be horror fans here but there are horror fans everywhere.

I like darkness and mystery, but definitely not in the horror sense. I don't like morbid shit like murder and torture at all.

I like more existential/metaphysical dark stuff. And shitty feelings like anxiety and sorrow. Sad songs tend to be the most beautiful.

I think everyone has fantasies but are just afraid to admit it. Your fantasies happen to be more twisted than mine. This does not mean it is not normal to have these type of fantasies. There is no normal when it comes to these sort of things.

I'm sort of fascinated by the dark and morbid. I hate horror movies but I like to delve into the dark part of human nature on a psychological basis rather than a literal (the act of killing) basis.

I think this is more of an individual thing than an INTP thing though.

I agree with the statement that everyone thinks that kind of thing from time to time. Some are just more willing to admit it, and/or think that kind of thing more often. I will admit that my thoughts stray into the darker areas pretty often...

I'm also into similar animes, though I prefer Higurashi to Umineko, and I'm INTP. Interpret that information however you like.

I tend to identify with depressing music, but in general I'm very different, I'm more of a medieval romantic knight in a twisted world, so I don't think it is INTP related. Maybe more in the lines of psychopathy. Just kidding.

I have read the same. It is not as much that I 'like' the dark side, I just either find the tools that the dark side likes to use to be more interesting, or I can relate to the speculated 'evil' person's train of thought. For instance, while in class today, we watched Food Inc which essentially is about how horrible food production is in the fact that it tortures animals.

While everyone gasped and did not want to eat food again, I quietly wondered to myself what the big deal was. It is food. We eat food. To eat food, it must die. It is either them or us. What's the problem? I possibly could be developing sociopathic tendencies. Meh, I'll introspect about my morality later.
