does this seem like a really fun, albeit a bit of a strange, way to screw with people's heads?

Improv Everywhere's annual No Pants Subway Ride is coming up in about 3 weeks, and I'm seriously considering going to the Toronto ride, simply because I want to see people's reaction to a bunch of people getting on the subway's without pants, in January... it seems like a fun way to pass a Sunday afternoon.

Also do you get to wear a shirt or jacket? It is somewhat cold now days.

Also um, I don't think there is a subway(other than the restaurant) probably 300 miles in any direction from where I live if not more.

But it does sound like fun. Not sure why though but I think I would enjoy messing with people like that. I am sure the Christians and Republicans around where I live would kill anyone who tried to do this, good thing we don't have subways...

Yeah, they don't want you to go naked from waist down. Underwear (or shorts for the m ore modest) is allowed, and indeed, encouraged.

As far as the rest of your attire goes, it's just the same as any other day. It's all for the shock value of seeing someone who you though was just on their way to a friends place or wherever strip their pants off at what seems like random. The whole point is that most people don't know it's happening, so end up really surprised.

300 miles???? Wow... I guess I shouldn't be surprised. With the exception of London, I can't think of any city besides Toronto within 300 miles that has a subway. I think that Ottawa may have one, and that's only about 280 miles, but that's about it, till you get out to Montreal.

DT, I thought that was implied. What reason would we have for going, if not to watch people's reactions?

I voted the fourth option. Partly because I really feel that way, and partly because I thought that was a funny choice. and partly because I secretly want to but never could.

Anyway... let me ask you a question:

I voted the first, as I'm kind of seasoned it that department, here's what happened:

I got on the train to work one rainy morning and realised, after walking through several carriages, sitting down, crossing my legs elegantly, fiddling around with handbag, etc.......

.......something dirty, long, soggy and brown was trailing out of the bottom of my pant leg.

I loooked down; "what the f...k...??!", grabbed at the thing and started pulling with both hands......

It was my very sexy brown nylon pantyhose I'd left inside the pants the night before.

I have a habit (when it's cold) of wearing layers of....stuff....., and usually undress by grabing everything at the top and wrenching it all off in one go, nice and ladylike, yeah.

After a couple of seconds of furious pulling I realised what I was pulling at.....

And the rest was still stuck in my other pant leg......

........and yes, the train was packed with people watching in various states of horror, disbelief and amusement.

Yes, KOzS. Even though this started in New York, it has now spread to a number of cities around the world. Toronto, Amsterdam, most of Australia, New York of course, Boston, San Fran, and London are just a few of the cities participating.

There are some Facebook event pages up, although I'm noticing that some of those that were up, don't seem to be working.
