Hello everyone

I am a new member, i discovered this site about three weeks ago, and i tried to register but apparently my email was banned. So i have been reading a lot of the posts and threads in my spare time

Anyways to my question, i found out I am a INTP about a month and a half ago, and ever since I have been fascinated with the whole idea, but lately i have been doubting the test i took.

I feel more like a ENTP at times, and at others i feel like a INFP, or even a ENFP, so is it possible for me to be a XNXP. ill admit i am a newbie to the whole thing, so i was just wondering.

Another thing i want to know is if Other things can play a part in your personality type, like bi-polar or even puberty?

You're in the right place. The most common characteristic of INTP's seem to be not being able to decide whether or not they're INTP's. Anyhow, I am also currently wondering if I'm ENTP, ENFP, or INFP. I'm wondering if my general- and social-anxiety play a part in my Iness or Tness. My Pness, on the other hand, is quite large.

None of us fit any mould so to feel times that resembles other types is not uncommon. The trick is to find your base type.

Welcome!

Heehee, I'm just instilling a little more doubt into the situation.

Welcome, by the way.

Thanks, and that was my point, it not that i don't show emotions, its just that i show little emotions, and i thought i had finally found a place to vent, but then i was reading up on INTP and that is when i started to doubt the test i took.

I am just tired of looking for people who will actually listen to what i have to say and comment on it. I listen to all of my friends problems, and when i try to tell them about my problems they change the subject. Its not that they are bad people, they're just inconsiderate.

We don't call it changing the subject around here, we just sometimes wander off on some tangent. We will listen and respond first though....usually ;)

yeah well my friends aren't exactly "Deep Thinkers" actually not that much of "thinkers" either. Its sad how easily i can manipulate them to do my bidding, its like there my minions :D

Although they don't always do what they're told, and when that happens...

NO!
I have become emotionally attached to my emotions, they are hidden in more emotions, all you will find is emotions, and for every one you discard, another is born in its place

Not really im not that emotional:D
But i like to pretend i am, never let anybody know your identity, or at least your real one.

I could give you a pill to rid you of your emotions instead. I've just always wanted to use the pliers, but they never let me. They say it's cruel and barbaric and not fit for the 21st century.

I could mix it in with your food if you like.

A: Welcome, and here's hoping you find what you're looking for here, whatever it is (although if it's warm fuzzies, then prepare to be either set on fire or disappointed).

B: As to the T/F preference, figuring out whether you make decisions primarily through your core values or through objective, reasoned logic is the difference between Fi and Ti-- xNTPs have Ti, and xNFPs have Fi as their main judging processes. See which one fits you-- it might help you out a lot. Keep in mind, too, that not everyone (indeed, almost NO-one) fits exactly into the parameters of the MBTI system; it's a rough guide to the different personalities that people can have, and by no means an exact science.

Ti: Making objective judgements by analysing and understanding an idea in detail and forming theories which require each aspect therein to be consistent with and complimentary to the others in the idea. INTP dominant; ENTP auxiliary.

Fi: Making decisions based on a gut feeling derived from core values or the relative, subjective worth of one concept over another in any given situation. Involves making fine distinctions between the relative values of different things in one's life. INFP dominant; ENFP auxiliary.

ah that helped, i think that im Ti, but if i know little on the subject then I tend to lean more towards Fi, if that makes sense.

You shouldn't give us so much power so easily. There are INFPs abound, and one of them could easily slip a feeling-enhancer in your drink. Just think, in a matter of hours you could be using way too many exclamation marks and crying for fun. Is that what you want?

Yeah i don't let people exploit me, but like some of my friends aren't bright, so i act like im there minion, just to manipulate.

Hi Fluffdaddy. I don't know the answers to your questions, but I'm just saying hiya.

I took a long time to figure out my type, one day it just became clear after I learned more about the types.

Hey Fluffdaddy,

Welcome! :)

I get varying test results too, always INXX, but if I average out over all those tests, the 'XX' is a slight TP. Anyway, I could relate to quite a few types when reading their descriptions. But I was 'enlightened' when I saw the INTP description by Paul James.
