How would a group of us fare if we were a criminal organization?

What would be our main order of business?

How would we handle people who pressed the wrong buttons?

Probably hacking, I'm sure many are INTPs.

I doubt we would ever have a consensus on the "main order of business".

BSODs, RATs, and corrupted boot sectors, I guess.

Some sort of mind-bending protection racket like those in Ankh-Morpork, which likely includes hacking (perhaps people paying protection not to be hacked and to be, theoretically, protected from other hackers as well), with various forms of outright theft being other avenues of income, like stealing scrap-metal from... everywhere.

There's a lot of metal laying about that you could steal in broad daylight, even in the middle of a city and nobody would even consider that you're stealing it, I mean drunks get away with stealing street signs all the time :D

Then there's good old blackmail and dogey loans, nobody ever considers that in order to explain to police why this guy is out to get you or making you do stuff is because you owe him an amount of money you don't have, and when they do realise: "aww shit if I call the cops on him they'll arrest me too" (for theft, essentially), so untill the sucker gets enough money to pay his debts off (which almost never happens, given interest and the poor money management skill of these people in the first place) you (the loan shark) practically own him, which is very useful when you need someone for dirty work or to be the fall guy.

I doubt it would be highly organised or have ranks. After all if you wanted to have to deal with other people's crap you would just get a normal job.
Maybe just a group of close friends playing pranks, online fraudsters or con men maybe.

I think it could work pretty well.

I guess there would be no potential leader (yeah, in our minds everyone would be the leader^^), that's why we would have ahttp://www.dict.cc/englisch-deutsch/collective.html collective that decides. But that makes us even stronger, because nothing depends just on one man/woman.

The best way would be to observe and gain knowledge about every influential person on this planet. (Many of us are hackers like said OTHERSIDE) So, if we become a large group it wouldn't be that hard to do this. -> Blackmail.

We'd make people do stuff for us.

What an excellent idea!

It would also be pretty easy for us to clean our conscience in our mind. (INTP ftw)

Afterwards we aould come up with thousands of ideas how to make the world better, and we would get bored pretty fast and go home in our familiar environment and chill^^

True that for the organization itself being leaderless makes it almost impossible to eradicate, but for the individual members of that organization the lack of any higher ups means the police will go for them without compunction. This is a major part of how the drug trade works, arresting the actual dealers dosen't achieve much so the police focus on stalking them in hope of catching the higher ups, which again dosen't achieve much either if the actual suppliers are still several levels up.

The police still arrest dealers as often as they can but figuring out where the actual drugs are coming from still ties up a lot of their time and resources, so in effect they're not arresting as many dealers as they could be if said dealers were lone operators who grew their own supplies.

There's an idea the INTP mafia could provide services in terms of transport and communications, the idea being the more people a message goes through the more likely the investigators are to loose track of it, a giant game of Chinese whispers in various codes with a red herring or two to really fuck things up.

Or here's another idea, we help the police, so we hack/snoop and get in on things and sell out various unprofessional criminals and then run a protection racket on professional crime organizations while simultaneously offering them various services like the communications idea I just mentioned, basically we screw everybody :D
The trick would be finding a balance between being criminals ourselves and being on-side with the police, at least having them think we are.

That's a good point! It highly depends in which country we are acting in.
I like your idea, I'm with you^^

That wouldn't be a big problem, I guess worldwide half of all policeman and policewoman are doing this. :D

The possibilities are endless for us, I think the main order of our business would be;

1. Roughly establish hide out/equipment requirements
2. Snooping on each other to make sure nobody is a rat
3. Get to work, maybe? Hacking sounds fun, or robbing without hurting people.

I'll drive if you like, I'm very good at disappearing quickly on a busy street.

You don't need to know the route. You give me a time and a place, I give you a five minute window. Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours. No matter what. Anything happens a minute either side of that and you're on your own. Do you understand?

So you'll just conveniently be there in a conveniently fast car and be conveniently willing to follow the directions of the person who has supposedly taken you hostage, heh I like it.

Something else like that: Imagine some guys rob a bank in Daffy Duck costumes or something, the police are called and are given that description, they arrive and there's like fifty people there in identical Daffy Duck costumes and they all start getting into cars and driving off leisurely in different directions. Y'see there was a Daffy Duck convention nearby and the criminals just happened to take advantage of it, so none of these people were intentionally an accessory to a crime so they can't be charged with anything.

We don't have to be the ones doing the crime, hell no too risky, we just offer the services to people who are dumb enough to take that risk, then sell them out later if they don't pay us adequately.

I would be an Information Broker. Finding and selling information to the highest bidder/ to all sides just appeals to me. There's something inherently 'cool' about organized cime- especially the Italian Mafia. Maybe it's the Mythos, who knows :0

We'd make people do stuff for us.

An INTP with its own team is basically a creative problem-solving mind with its body acting through executive pawns.

I kind of picture a bunch of randomly placed Deathnote L's, each with its own team of different executives.

Communication between the INTPs would be very discrete instant messaging, or in their own homes where nobody would care to look.

2. Snooping on each other to make sure nobody is a rat

Fi is too foreign to us to have to worry about that :D I kid.

Probably the most sense-making ideas so far
