I suggest reading a lot. research and read things would be the best thing to do. Teach yourself some valuable skills and do what you love.

That's great advice, however as an intp I have trouble With structure and I need something with just a bit of structure.

Are you sure you're not taking the piss here?

Anyway INTPs can get bored and a big project stretching away into the future is fertile ground for boredom. If you're going to educate yourself, pick a book and resolve to read just one chapter a day. Do it in small slices. If you find yourself engaged, by all means read more, but do not let a single day pass without reading at least one chapter. It's a very mild ration of discipline tailored to an INTP mind; a chapter and then let your mind drift. You may find when you pick it up again you have curiosity about what's next.

Overall advice: If you can't abide school, figure out what you enjoy doing and see if you can build a business around it. You have to figure out a lot, but the good news is you're personality is suited to that.

I have to agree with editor. Either go back to school/get your GED and then head off to college or start some sort of business. Those are basically your two options that have the potential to result in some decent outcome that an INTP has a reasonable possibility of pulling off. College degrees are becoming increasingly needed as I am sure you know and starting a business is no cake-walk. Think about what you want your future to be.

What if you are bad at STEM?
A part of me has a passion for studying either history, political science or psychology. Lately, I have considered a double degree in pol sci + psych, what do you think?

Study Robert Greene assiduously. Make it your primary text. Start with the 50th Law, then go onto Mastery.

There is a lot of important information we are missing. There must be because you only wrote 4 sentences in explaining your perdiciment.

Lets start with why you left school.

I'm in full agreement with Editor on this.

Also what Greyman says is worth paying attention to as well. You should know in detail why you dropped out and I don't just mean "because I was bored."

I suggested reading because its something that you can do and if you read enough there is a chance you could be successful without a degree.

I still recommend getting some education if you can. If you can go at your own pace (fast or slow) then that is the best way to do it.

I am not certain exactly how you derived the question but I will do my best to answer it. I personally would not recommend history, poli sci, or psych to you. Each one is flooded. Each may very well be very interesting but everyone and their mother's are doing these majors. Some because they are interested, some because they did not want to take the stem route, other just out of random selection. History is only as good as any other liberal art, Poli sci is a little bit better and maybe you will get an entry level job somewhere but it will still be very difficult, and psych is useless without a grad degree.

I want the two of us to be very clear on this. You are selling yourself short in saying you are bad at stem. Maybe you did not take to mathematical subjects and assumed you were bad as a child and that just snowballed. Maybe a teacher came along and kicked you in the teeth. I cannot be certain why exactly you have this belief but it does not have to be this way. You can learn maths and sciences with a decent amount. These are where a lot of the good careers are right now and these are careers that INTPs are better suited towards in general. I can accept you saying you don't want to major in stem but I won't accept that you can't or are bad at stem.

An anecdote, I have a friend currently at my college. Senior year of high school he could not even code for a basic website. Less than 2 years later he is one of the best if not the best person in the computer science program at my college. This could be you if you can really set your mind to it. If there is some goal you should be working on take a step to complete it now.

I am done preaching.

So much though depends on what you want out of your life and it is very likely you do not yet know. If there is anything else i can answer feel free to ask.

Dude, I just dropped out of high school too. I'll try to use any advice here that is feasible. But in my country, you can take GED, but it's not really accepted here. You need a minimum of 12 years of formal education yeah (even if you're an international student, which I'm not). I haven't even done 10 years of school, and I can't even imagine myself doing that 3 years more. Yes, save my sorry ass again.

I am not certain if the above was directed at me but I do not feel qualified to make any statements about countries outside of the U.S.

No, i actually can't imagine why you couldn't handle a warehouse job. Care you explain? No offense is intended.

I think a perfectly good piece of advice would've been to stick with your boring mindless job, knowing that life can't be fun all the time or something do that effect. Now..? Well, perhaps get another mundane job and don't repeat the mistake of quitting/losing it.

As an intp I need to be stimulated and the job was not at all stimulating on top of that I was being yield at daily my ppl who were basically my equals for things that weren't my responsibility while they sat on their phone.

Truth be told I was unsure about whether to stay or not , and maybe if I had thought about it a bit more and talked it over with someone I would've decided otherwise . never the less I'm still very happy with my dissuasion

Part of the essence of genius is the transformation of boredom into productivity. Many of the innovators we now praise had their epiphanies while learning about seemingly unrelated things. What you must do, if you want to have a better hold on life than me, is to submit to the tedious inanity of everyday life and become supple enough to actually learn something from it. You should use Robert Greene's books as companion texts to guide you through learning these basic life lessons. Basic life lessons are worth more than anything else, unless you want to be a literal idiot savant, in which case you would have to prove yourself worthy of being tolerated for your dramatic life failures.

While you are learning about life, you should also have a passionate hobby that you could one day parlay into a career. Your hobby will serve as an object of love and devotion, and will allow you to improve your strengths. You must treat your hobby as seriously as possible, and genuinely suffer as you would from any other object of love. You must try to improve upon your hobby every single day. There are podcasts available to give you guidance in developing your passions. Search until you find.

Since you ditched the job, I am assuming you don't really need it. That is good. You are now in a privileged position to pursue your passions, whatever they may be.

Step 1: find your passions.
Step 2: engage in your passions.

If step 2 doesn't seem to work, put yourself in a situation where you have no other choice than to succeed. Burn the boats.
