It's not unusual for an INTP to turn to the humanities when young, rather than science. Indeed I think it's common as we're too young for the kind of STEM that we like (higher math, programming and the like). Unlike the INTJ true scientists, we sit more between STEM and the Humanities. I think unless introduced to STEM at a young age we generally stay a humanities geek.

Including programming?

You're right, I definitely sit between the two. Also, I am in a STEM field(well, sort of). Architecture engineering is a nice balance between humanities and STEM. we were required to learn programming as division of the STEM part, so my lack of interest is a result of my experience in programming classes

My interests are theoretically unlimited.
Now, my diplomas/degrees/certs don't really reflect the scope of my interests, as I've only earned "papers" in the following: fine arts, journalism, biology, chemistry, secondary eucation, IT support (A+ only), behavioral health, & psychology

But I've spent a lot of formal and informal time on: geology, mathematics (just enough to understand the science), philosophy, ethics, religion, anthropology, prehistory, western & asian history, some physics, programming, magic, ceramics, dance, geography, literature, music theory, cooking, & autoimmune disorders.

And I really want to learn mechanics, Sociology, geopolitics, combat, charisma, fire breathing, South American & African history, & astrophysics
My only real goal in life is to acquire and synthesize information to transform it into understanding. Knowledge is the means, not the end, of course, but it's still essential that you accumulate as much as possible.

Accumulation, my approach is similar but I seem to find certain things more interesting than others, I wonder how it feels to have no preference in this regard.
It's probably better to be curious about everything, but some topics run dry more quickly it seems.

I can't even imagine being without preference. Of course some things are more interesting than others. My intellectual dark spots are business, economics, and law. I want to understand, I try to understand, but I just can't wrap my head around the major premises. I also get incredibly bored by war history (the battle play-by-play stuff), sports, and most things that could be called "fancy" (purebred animal husbandry, fine dining, high fashion, grandiose architecture, etc.), but that doesn't mean I'll never, ever be interested in them, or won't get around to learning more about them in the future.
