What do you think? Do INTPs use their intellect as a way of compensating for an underdeveloped emotional side?

I, for one, am a retard.
I'm similar in that I generally have no problem reading a person's emotions from their actions and body language. Where I fall down is understanding why they do the things they do. This includes how they get themselves into situations in the first place and how they fail to see the easy way out that I've figured out by objective analysis. With people I don't know well, I'm probably better off not even involving myself because my carefully devised solution to their problem will not only fail to work for them, but will make things worse in their emotionally-charged world.I think that <<emotionally interacting retarded>> is better, at least considering from my self. I don't have problem to understand other's emotions and body language, i can tell when someone is happy, sad, upset, worried, etc, and i do have emotions on my own. The problems start when i have to express my feelings-thoughts, to discuss, and generally to communicate with other people. One of my common dispairs is when someone keeps acting emotionally, my objective-logical-underdeveloped Fe approach fails, and just don't know what else to do. I am trying to develop my Fe, especially lately, and i really see that it's not that we don't have emotions, it's just that we don't know how to use them.
