When the ways you interpret reality are completely different, you end up in being disagreement quite often. These disagreements based on differences in how you percept and interpret reality have nothing to do with emotional and personal qualities like "being overbearing" - there's a huge logical gap between the two.

I disagree.

If you're sufficiently developed (i.e. not prone to furiously masturbating your own ego), it's quite easy to find another's worldview both intriguing and necessary for personal growth; two individuals who see the world differently can benefit one another greatly. You just have to be up for the challenge of bridging the gap... an obvious statement, but meh.

My best friend is an INTP. We really don't differ that much in terms of how we see the world. In fact, we have a lot in common. We're also developed enough to be able to argue the toss with one another without getting personal.

Same with my other friends.

Past a certain point in life, you really shouldn't be getting butthurt or seeing alternative ways of looking at reality as a problem.

How old are you, if you don't mind my asking? I found that everyone began to chill the fuck out at around age 25 onwards. We're all in our (very) early 30s now.

[EDIT] LOL.

"We tend to be in disagreement quite often".

"I DISAGREE!" xD

Sorry - post may be largely irrelevant. Can't lie - operating with 'cognitive aid' at the moment.

Pretty mixed feelings about them. The Ni dominant thing is a mystery to me, and as much as I can appreciate it for its brilliance at some occasions, it really goes on my nerves how the consider it an objective source of truth, to which no objections apply, because they 'just know it' and 'it is so'. I am a person who needs to know the why-s and can't put such blind trust in those freaky insights, and am way more straight forward in my reasoning, although outwardly appears the opposite because of their Te.

Talking about the Te, many people seem to find it the most annoying thing about INTJ-s, but I'd frankly say that for me it is this weak egocentric Fi. They don't even realize how their whole approach in debates is based on emotion and vulnerability, which totally keeps them away from the thought that there may be some truth and reason in the other standpoint, and some logical flaws in theirs due to too much generalization and overlooking some nuances. I can't explain to them that the fact that they are good orators and sound right doesn't make them more right than they are. But all the Te-Fi thing seems quite utilitarian at its core.

Anyway, I kinda like them. Maybe because I'm on the borderline with them (P/J is like 51/49). Still, I'd rather debate with an ENTP.

I always noticed INTJs are passionate about a certain topic. My uncle is INTJ, has an amazing out of the world work ethic, but if you don't agree with him, prepare for rigid debate mode.
Thankfully my uncle and I have similar opinions. I've seen him debate with his sisters (my aunts), its actually kind of awesome to watch how ruthless it becomes.

I'm not sure if I have been talking to INTJs, but I often get the impression that they love to attack and "win" over me. If I get accused of faulty logic, I want to know how it is faulty. I very rarely do that against others, and if they they do seem to have faulty logic, I want to make sure that I am not misinterpreting them.
