Last night I had a few drinks and went into town. The whole night I was feeling really happy; and for no obvious reason. I woke up this morning and I'm still feeling happy? Could it be the alcohol? Has anyone else had this experience? Please share.

I think most people call that "having fun."

No no I didn't dream. I'm just feeling unusually happy. Does this happen to you?

The greatest worry I had when I bought lotto tickets at 18 was how I was going to pretend to be excited if I won. I am always satisfied, content, but not happy.

I become happy or joyful because it puts those around me at ease. It is a good social tool. When people start to express it, I think I can experience it through them but it is never my own at least not in my mind.

Short answer: no

It has happened to me. It was kind of like a manic thing, even though I'm not bi-polar.

Don't mean to scare you, as what you are going through is probably very unique to you. But for me, I continued getting more and more euphoric over the course of a week and a half until I snapped.

Mine also started with a big binge of alcohol as well. And to add in more detail, I was mostly euphoric during that time, with some rapid cycling into depression occasionally.

Oh rubbish. Grayman's attitude is interesting.

TMills27: Are these cycles described by "overstimulation". If I am overstimulated too regularly, I become stressed and then depressed.

No, I meant rapid cycling between being very euphoric, and then slamming into a gritty depression, then just as quick, come right back up into euphoria again.

As for overstimulation, my mind and thoughts were on fire, going deeper and deeper into thought, and further away from reality.
