Chances are, a plan that has any real significance will cost more than that, so you would actually be losing money, and the only real prize is getting to help your community. Fuck that.

LOL... A person could not even implement a plan to change their own world, by getting a college degree for that amount of money - much less change the entire world.

Not necessarily. If it's something which would require a great deal of time and effort, it may not be something which a person could afford to do unless they were being paid for it, no matter how selfless or beneficial to society in general.

I know that there are a bunch of things I would like to do which would improve conditions for a lot of people. However, those things would take time and a lot of money. To be able to do them, I would either have to be a lot richer than I am now, or the activities would have to be suitably profitable in their own right.

I must amend your postulate. Enhance humanity, check, make money, um, no! This does not factor in that much - I only need sustenace and desire little. I will either become a university professor/researcher or work in the public school system. I would work for $35000 a year; it matters that little to me.
