I realized that almost every day in class when im bored, i take the metal tip off of my pencil, and SPIN IT. it spins really nicely, realy fast, and for a while too. and i must say it entertains me to no end. i could probably do it for an hour or so. everyone kinda gives me this wierd look but im in love with it! i just watch it spin, its so simple yet so satisfying. also, sometimes i get my cellphone out which is a nice balanced rectangle, and i throw it in the air spinning like crazy, i love it! spinning is my favorite, but i also like bouncing stuff and dropping stuff.
anyway, i was wondering if this is weird, or if anyone could relate :)

Yep that's me. I'm the one who will stare at a Newton's Cradle for 5 minutes, or experiment with centripetal motion by spinning around for a few minutes with various arm positions, spin tops, play online physics games, etc. I also have the same child like appreciation of basic electronics.

yes.. it takes the mind off school for me - throwing my phone up in the air while it spins, for example. ehehe....when I see something I could try out in the world of motion, it's much more interesting than just sitting around - because it provides some stimulation. Conversation with the same people @ school could get boring. so why not throw the phone around a bit? or throw a ball around etc... :)
