(more of an example than a slogan. offends your Fe: check. uses subjective metaphors: double check. breaks a rule of language: check. analyses logic: check. i realize that intp are unfortunately not usually in the know about this subject and are instead distracted by their cynical realism - i was the same for 35 years)

From his follow-up comments, I think he means they aren't reality, concrete, facts and therefore shouldn't be treated as such. Which, was opposite of how I feel but in truth, isn't he right? But, even though they aren't reality, they are still real. It seemed like a very INTP thing for him to say.

Rationality doesn't exist without feelings. I would recommend to him the book Descartes' Error.
