He's a fucking choker. I watched the game. If the Vikings had won, I would've been happy. They lost, I'm .

I'm no Brett Favre fan, but Peterson and the other Viking fumblers deserve some of the blame too.

Favre gets hit late on his first pick and everyone of those calls in OT were bull. Vikings gave this one away but honestly the officals were the worst - agreed

Perhaps you are being a bit emotional over this?

Just suggesting,

^What he said.

It's just a game. Be glad they got this far in the first place, most of my family are Cowboy fans.

Pass interference is the most frequently miscalled penalty in the whole sport (with roughing the passer a close second), and it's also the one with the most potential to ruin a game. That's what happened in OT; another shitty interference call.

I honestly don't care though. I watch these games for amusement. There's very little reason to be too happy or upset over the outcome, especially if you're one of the players and are guaranteed to make millions regardless of the result. But even for the fans it's just a soap opera, basically.

So I will assume that your capacity for stupidity is as big as your capacity to read.

In other words, *slowly*

you are stupider than me. Geddit?

The first evidence is when you asked me if I knew English. I guess that's an awesome sign of intelligence.

The fact that you are both insulting each other shows no dignity from either of you, let it go, it was a game that was lost, they always have next year.

I know very little about football, but the vikings are my home team, so I'm guessing there's gonna be lots of upset teachers tomorow. The majority of my teachers are really into football. One of them even has this little dancing viking that sings, that he plays everytime they win.
I just don't understand the whole sports watching obsession.....

lol, theres an INTP kid here (like... *very* INTP. He also took the test and tested as one, but it was pretty obvious from anyone who knew him and mbti what he'd be) who knows more about sports than anyone else I know. Or... at least he's on par with them. He regularly takes quizzes on sporcle about various professional and college sports topics for fun.

I absolutely loved that game. I don't have anything against Minnesota... but Favre annoys me enough that I really wanted to see them (er... *him*) lose. I was sickly happy that he blew the game by throwing a pick on the last play, when they were tied at the end of regulation and within field goal range... except for the fact that it means he'll almost certainly come back again next year. If you guys'd won the super bowl there seems like a good chance he'd retire.

Personally, he's always bugged me because (in my lifetime, when I've watched him) he's been playing like a rookie. About to get sacked? Throw the ball high up in the air! Who cares if it gets picked off about 1/3 to 1/2 of the time? If one of his receivers manages to come down with it, everyone swoons over how magnificent of a quarterback he is, to be able to find his receivers under that kind of pressure. If a rookie quarterback did that same thing, they'd get chewed out by the coaches sooo badly.

I think he's been overrated for at least several years. I don't know what his numbers are like, but the games I've seen show him playing very foolishly... so I think it's his reputation that's carrying him.

*shrugs*

Yet he still led his team to the NFC championship game. Favre is a highly talented quarterback with questionable judgment. I think most people have known that since his first couple years. Potent, but reckless.

Why aren't you angry at the 13th Viking in the huddle that forced Favre to pass to get back into field goal range? That last pass was like walking out of a finals exam, only to be stopped at the door and asked if you remembered to finish the back side of the last page. Get as mad as you want, but that was not a good situation for any quarterback to be in.

Why are you surprised about the pass interference call when the pass defender didn't turn his head to see the ball? They call that almost every time if the defender looks like he got run down even a little. I see the point about it being an uncatchable pass, but it was awfully close for a throwaway pass.

Still, I thought it was a great game.

Sport...I love sports...and statistics. Baseball and football have a ton of statistics to stare at...I've been looking up stats since I was like 8. I'd take the newspaper and look at the sports section. XD

Freud would probably say that Favre is just afraid to retire, probably due to some repressed sexual something, likely involving a penis. That might also explain why he plays for team that wears purple; or not.

Oh, and watching sports isn't anti-INTP; it's just really really (admittedly) stupid. We all need our stupid indulgences. Plus, I'll analyze anything if it exists, and sports thus far exist. So far, my analysis has determined that things happen involving a ball and people overreact to those things. Beautiful.

I'm starting to think he's connected with some kind of gambling operation and he just throws games as part of their plan.

But purple is a combination of blue and red. If we stop to consider the gender implications of these colors doesn't it hint at Favre's sexual confusion?

In your analysis have you discovered if there is singing involved? I always find it fascinating when there is singing involved. Oh wait, I hear it's not actually singing but cheering. I misunderstood. Still, sounds like singing.

hmmm, that may explain all the butt slapping he's always doing with his teammates. I thought it meant "good play" but now I'm not sure.

It may be singing. It's possible that there are thousands of songs being sung at once. The one general rule is that the fans can never shut the hell up, so when there's no amazing plays going on they may sing, considering they are likely drunk. It's the inverse of a concert: mosh pit on the field, singing in the stands? hmmm

i like to analyze which lineman messed up on each play, i played football for 6 years, as a lineman. It's an analytical game and was fun. Plus it helped me funnel my agression.

Yeah, I mean... I'm sure I'm just being stupid about it... but the games I've seen him in, he's seemed a lot more reckless than good. Mind you I'm neither a Green Bay fan nor a Minnesota one... so I don't have all that much of a sample size.

That huddle penalty was absolutely ridiculous, too. Either the coaches fucked up really bad, or one of the players did... but that's just sloppy playing.

I also didn't find the pass interference too blatant. If the defender isn't watching the ball, and the receiver goes down, you're probably in trouble. That's just one of those things that... well, it's the equivalent of helmet to helmet on roughing the quarterback. You might get mad at them for being "light" hits, to get a penalty like roughing the passer called, but it is a call the refs make consistently. Maybe they should just rename it or something.

From what I heard from friends, though, it sounded like they thought the pass interference was a make-up call, because the saints supposedly got fucked over on some flag the drive before, which let the vikings tie it in the first place. Sadly I had gone to see a movie and missed that part of the game, but the general consensus among the 5-6 people watching was that the vikings wouldn't have had the chance to tie the game if the refs had been fair earlier... so when the questionable pass interference came up, they sort of *shrugged* and said while they weren't sure if it was a legitimate call, they suspected it was just a make up call. Again, I dunno if that's true or not, because I didn't see the flag they were talking about... but take it or leave it.

Go Bengals.
haha, living in Cincinnati i'm almost required to be a Bengals fan.

think about it like this: Atleast the Vikings didn't make a total disgrace of themselves like the Bengals did going against the Jets last week, and the week before that losing 30-0. I've lost almost all hope in that team.

hmmm, well if you want to take this matter into a more Psychological talk then be my guest. I'm willing to read and participate.

lol I've considered that, among other types. I don't think having sports knowledge necessarily has much to do with it though (though I obviously see why one would think such). Sports were all around me from an early age and I've absorbed all sorts of related information. Also, I'm overall pretty awful at Se activities.

I have it on authority that Brett favre is a ESTP.

A ISTP being a great QB? Crazy? A dominant Se being needed for dealing with fast action and people running all over?

Could you "smell" that Favre was a ISTP??

Your typing skills via text and TV need work m boy.

With all do respect, you have no authority.

Clearly Auxiliary Se will do just fine.

Look at any interview of him, it's obvious that he is conserving energy, that he is not being stimulated through interacting with people. All you are doing is applying the perceived Ideal personality type of a star CB, and then assuming he must be one based on that alone.
Learn to read people before trying to call me out, you will never be able to type people accurately based on silly stereotypes.
