Yep, I always, have coffee. I like home made Starbucks Espresso roast and make a full 12 cup pot of coffee to drink from 5am to when its gone, about noon, plus breakfast. I use a lot of milk and pour a splash of pure maple syrup in each cup. I love good and rich coffee with maple syrup and milk.
I don't often buy coffee at Starbucks, except for the big bag of espresso ground for home use, OR, sometimes the hot Caramel Machiatto with light foam and cinnamon on top and a double smokey bacon breakfast sandwich and a custard danish. mmm.
If there is a power outage, I have a camp stove, propane, camp coffee pot and make it in the back yard.
Coleman camp coffee pot: Fill with water to just under the spout. Add 6-8 packed scoops of espresso beans ground. Set on camp stove over medium flame for twenty minutes until it percolates a dark brown liquid in the top glass lid. Before pouring, hold a cloth dish towel or oven mitt on the glass top so it doesn't fall out, and pour into a cup. Delicious camp coffee.
Easy home made Egg foo yung -fry Asian mushroom mix (oyster, shitake, etc) in butter-add green onion, wash beansprouts, mix with 2-3 beaten eggs, splash of soy sauce, cut bean sprouts up a little, pour over mushrooms in pan, fry, flip, fry, when done, remove, drizzle more soy sauce, eat.
Sure, maybe there is a bit of a coffee crash, but I have to have it.
Use paper muffin liners or you'll be washing and scrubbing muffin tins all morning if you make these. Or, just do scrambled eggs with same recipe instead of muffins.
These egg muffins are the perfect breakfast! They are tasty and portable, and you can change them with different cheeses and veggies.
