I can summon people seemingly much more intelligent than me in my lucid dreams

I've experienced this a couple of times. I'm in a lucid dream and I want to talk with a certain individual whom I admire for his intelligence. If I can manage to materialize this person and speak with him he still outperforms the awake version of me, even tough he's a construction of my mind and we're talking about topics that we have never covered before. Another example of this when I dream I'm in a concert and I can listen to an astounding real time music composition from my mind which I wouldn't be able to do when awake with my current skill set.

... which leads me to assess that my mind could be orders of magnitude more capable than the ordinary me and makes me delve in solipsism and the composition of the self. What are your toughts on this? Can anyone relate?

Sometimes I come near the threshold of seeing the most complex and crystal clear images not possible without high end computer graphics. They almost appear but remain unconscious. If I could see them they would be more real than real. DMT can unleash them, by the accounts of people who have taken it.

So what do you remember from these brilliant conversations? Probably nothing but the feeling that the conversation was brilliant. And maybe that is exactly what it was. Just the feeling of talking to a brilliant person. Nothing brilliant was actually said, but what what was said was experienced as brilliant.

I guess it happend to me as well. I was hearing words that I never used and stuff. But as Stagename said I cant remember much from it. I usually have very complicated dreams, and they are simply too complicated to remember. I hate the feeling of confusion I get when I try to understand the dream and then it all goes to hell and i forget every detail of it.

You are more than just your awake awareness in this world. Think of a tinny sapling growing off of an old ancient root system. The saplings source of life is not only dependent on the local above ground awareness.

Depending on how you draw free body diagrams of this metaphor you can make several claims as to what constitutes ‘you’.

This below the ground awareness is largely hidden from us, depending on our ability to understand larger degrees of experience and hindered by beliefs our minds think up.

Think of your above ground awareness as adding experiential knowledge to a core of wisdom that is stored in a network like a root system.

When we communicate with something else in a lucid, OOBE, NDE, telepathy, channeled, meditative altered consciousness state: Sometimes it can be from us sourced from some internal mechanism we define or accidently or habitually gets defined. Or it can be from the part of us that sources this root system, its living has it own job to do and typically is not a part of our above ground awareness but it can be for some who can handle that expansion of processing. Awareness and sentientness is an active thing a result of a process, as that process adapts or evolves or is applied differently that sentientness grows and what we define as us changes. Process can be separated into task or combined and mutli task it depends on which is optimal for the unit; other times that communication is from other living things sending data over a reality wide web {root system - nueral network} kinda thing.

Sophism Is closer to metaphorically to what’s going on, but if we can just model reality as digital then Sophism becomes just non mystical science.

The reason I say what I say comes from:
1. My studies of physics and science seems allude that reality is information based
2. Communicating with non-physical entities enough to question and explore the orgins of this knowledge.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with this. The rest made enough sense, but data is like a name. Just because its there doesn't mean that that is the essence of the thing with the name. Data is what us humans have given names to and data in itself is a name.

Ya I agree, data is just a metaphor. Data is a better model for reality is more to what I mean. As it has been said, "don't confuse the map for the territory".

Tho it is controversial, I think if you plot scientist who agree with informational model versus materialist model [Information]/[Materialism] vs Time that number might be less than one currently but that slope is positive.

Over time is gives way to better science I have noticed. Plus it makes metaphysical experience one might have make since in a context that matches how reality can operate.

I don't really know much about the metaphysical so I'm not sure how to respond..

I just think that life is not so much about plots on a graph and what not..

I feel there is more to life than just what can be consciously observed as opposed to a completely dynamic system that can't be so easily interpreted as an input. Reality is really funny in that there's not much we actually know about it.

Perhaps it simply means that your can seem to be more intelligent then you are, even to the extent that you can fool yourself.

I can relate. In my case, it's discussions. I dream of discussions so unbelievaly complex that I can't believe my brain is capable of creating them. They're not brilliant, they're complex in the sense that they feel like genuine conversations between people. I'm always omniscient, I don't even get to say anything. One example: I recently dreamt of a discussion about the Qatar-Turkey pipeline. I'm not even that interested in the subject, I don't remember where I read or heard about it, but in the dream there were a lot of serious theories about it. I just don't understand how my brain can invent theories about such specific subjects. It doesn't feel like the conversation or the people engaged in it have anything to do with me at all (I have better things to do than to discuss that), but it seems they somehow do.
