Hypothetical "ENTP" "Rivalry"

This post is limited to responses from INFP/INTP, and some insight from any ENTP will be appreciated as well.

Is there any theoretical perspective on how to still be cool while dealing with a hypothetical "rivalry"?

For example the ENTP has Fe in a higher spot, so they have that advantage (and consequently have a harder time trying to appear awkward). They don't get burned out as fast as INTP, so that's the main issue it would seem...

In this case imagine one with decently developed Ti so it's not as simple as out-Ti'ing someone else, in a classroom setting at least with a hypothetical audience. One angle would be to possibly annoy with some degree of Si but that's moderately tricky and not simple to implement at any available moment; requires specific openings. But not really

Anyone have any confirmed ENTP associates?

N means good (or similar)

and the second function is the best (although not most) developed one

INxP's have N second and ENTP's have N first

meditate on this.

Being ENTP myself (low E), I assume that is associated enough to answer...

The ENTP gets the upper hand on this rivalry for sure. The ENTP can see & hold various opinions simultaneously (Ne being in first position). Plus their ability/love of debate/arguing out loud gives them stamina & fortitude. It actually gives them energy, and 'new' brain food. To an opponent this may look like machine gun fire, with charm.

And because Ti is in second place for them, they don't see any of the above as painful. Especially if they are an Ennagram 8, who rely on strength so not to controlled (a rivalry can be seen as fight for control).

P.S. I see you mentioned input from INFPs on this. It would be of little use - INFPs CANNOT understand ENTPs.

P.P.S. ENTPs can continue to add points, ad lib, so expect many mental P.P.S.'s grenades thrown in after the fact from the ENTP...

Seems like ENTP's main advantage over INTP is their ability to present ideas that are understandable or relevant to others(tertiary Fe). While their ideas might not be as developed or established compared to INTP's(tertiary Si), they can get it "out there" more effectively so they will have more have of an effect - in turn the upper hand.

In my opinion, here lies the crux of the situation. There seems to be an expectation that you have to be.... 'cool'. As long as you desire this, the more disappointed you will be.

To be much more valuable, desire and expect yourself to be how you are. Don't expect confidence from others, conjure it yourself, bring yourself up to other's level.

If you are unsure, then be unsure. If you feel weak, then let yourself realize this. If you made a mistake, then be sure to review it.

Don't delude yourself on reaching perfection. If you can bear through your weakness gracefully, you may appear more valuable and attract a lot of people who will be much more significant to you.

I am an ENTP with a dominant Ti and I have INTP friends so this makes me sad I think.

I am unsure what exactly you are asking though.

For me Ti is the most valueable function, so it's easy to be better than ENTPs. INTPs can use their introverted skill to gain better understanding of any topic and then be authority. ENTPs can learn faster, because of their extroversion, but can't get deeper understanding. For me, the best role for INTP is to be mastermind. You know if INTP is obssesed with something, noone can beat them in logic. At least not ENTP, who has lack in logic in compare to INTP. Maybe INTJs can sometimes beat INTP in mastering something.

(I'm not sure if my answer is appropriate to the topic, because of my english skill ;D )
