I learned we have mapped the entire human genome and i was wondering what are the biggest changes we can currently make/change. Also i would like to know the kind of things that this can be used for in the future. i think it would be amazing to make people with lion mains or cat eyes. use imagination please.;) also if animals like elephants have amazing memory could we make humans the same?
TELL ME WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE DONE.

This post of mine will be absent of any ideas regarding application. :p

The human genome project met its completion criteria in 2003, BUT it only mapped the 46 double helix chromosomes. What has yet to be mapped/suitably investigated: human quadruple helix DNA, epigenetics, and gene flow within and between the organismal superstructure (everything that lives inside of us and their DNA). Application speculation thus seems premature to me.

First, we should try things on animals.
Drosophila melanogaster (fruit fly) only has 8 chromosomes vs our 46 and has been used as a model organism in genetics for decades.... and we still haven't figured it out...

In fact I find the sheer number of university geneticists who base their research on nothing but Drosophila sickening.
