A white house in the middle of sandy type desert, no roads or civilization, tall cacti and dead plants. Totally open, no doors, up and down stairs overlapping, books on white bookshelf upstairs (all reference), laptop, downstairs has one wall gone, the other walls glass, speaker system so I can play music everywhere, I picture it playing something like echo shade/baths or something like a calm disco/glitch/electronic. I'd lay outside in the sand with the sun beating down on me looking at the cacti and emptiness for miles. The sky would always be hot and at night it would be warm with tons of stars and the moons so bright that everything is lit with moonlight so it's never dark and you can practicly always see stars during the morning and late day and it never gets cool there except if you go in water and lay out. Coincidentally the other day I'd discovered that If you look up desert house on google it will show tons of similar pictures.
Think like this:

Plus this:

Except whiter, emptier, hotter, and two story

Where puppies and rainbows abound!
I wouldn't want a house. Too much commitment!
I'd want a small, cozy flat in some busy European city with a fireplace, a large desk and a working oven and stove.

A network of bunkers deep under a mountain, in the cold dark depths of Russia, all entrances concealed, heavily fortified, there's also a nuclear reator and enough fuel to last several dozen lifetimes.

My house now + a rally car track in my fields + large under ground garage. Maybe a small run way? Nuclear reactor for sure. Heavy fortifications.

A small container.

It will hold my brain, which will be connected to a computer, running a matrix-like virtual reality. I will have direct control over the computer, simply willing it to fulfill any wish I may have.

This is the basic land setup that I'd like.

And here's my floorplan. Doesn't have to be much. Not drawn to any scale whatsoever.

The house would be something width and length-wise the size of a standard house, with a basement levels and 2 floors above the surface. Top floor is a greenhouse, some bedrooms in the basement, office in the basement, office on the roof, middle is for relaxation/enjoyment/music/art. There are also two overhanging balconies, one being the roof for a wall-less garage of sorts, the other serving as a roof for a built in goat shelter to house the milk-toters and the attack/guard ram.

Clearly this thing is on at least a few dozen acres if I have an attack ram.

Mine would be a vertical eight-story building in the woods that had a motorized ladder that operated as a type of conveyor belt . Only one room per story (except an extra bathroom on every other floor), with the bedroom on top.

When I was younger, we were gave an assignment about our dream house. I drew a tree that was still living yet hollowed out and comfortable enough to live in. For some reason I received some odd looks.

Owning a home is a major pain. "It's always something".

Tardis. I can be as isolated as I like or right in the middle of things. Very spacious and high-tech and some dialougue indicates it has rooms for everything (a pool, a library, etc)

"Wouldn't the sentence 'I want to put a hyphen between the words Fish and And and And and Chips in my Fish-And-Chips sign' have been clearer if quotation marks had been placed before Fish, and between Fish and and, and and and And, and And and and, and and and And, and And and and, and and and Chips, as well as after Chips?" - Martin Gardner

House on six acres surrounded by more woods with two baths, one with a glass shower the other with a whirlpool. Front picture window overlooking the woods, the back a big glass sliding door overlooking the pond, stream and garden but no deer. Office room with bay window for art overlooking woods and maybe some trees and space for computers. Wireless reception.

Fireplace with good draft. Basement with my bench press. Two plus bedrooms with room for beds and side tables. No air conditioning but plenty of air. Carpet on floors which doubles as rug. More internal space for wife and pets, visible if needed. Propane generator in case of loss of electricity. Pond with koi but no snapping turtles. Small keep out and welcome sign for trespassers and visitors respectively. Driveway to make it easier to remove snow in winter and placement of car. Running water and low taxes. Mail box in case of mail.

Here and there.
I want a glass castle. The walls will contain beautiful stained glass art depicting various mythological creatures and astronomy-related wonders. This castle will be located in a picturesque country-like scenery. I shall hold masquerade parties every other day and joust on unicorns.

You guys are funny-- My dream house would be one for which the mortgage has already been paid and the lawn and landscape is maintained by George Lopez and Carlos Mencia.

I like simple things. I'm good with a cave or log cabin or whatever. It'll need a wood stove and running water would be nice.

More importantly I'd like to have no neighbors or lots of woods and beach nearby.
