Hi, I would like to ask you...
If you would get random group, with random people, but you would know their personalities (MBTI), how would you make all of them useful? I mean, how to place them into group and make them use their functions?
For example: INTJ is good strategist, because he will first predict, what is going to happed with his Ni (well, basicaly), and then he uses his Te to control other in the best possible way, that he can predict (or something like that).
I know that there is no bad personality, so there is sure use for each of them.

Can't wait for your responds!

Theoretically yes, but what is the task, how many people are involved, and how much interaction do the individuals have?

Let's take 5 random types (I used a 1-16 random number generator, a more accurate sampling would take into account type rarity, but that's too much work :) )

ENFP
ESFP
ESTP
ISTP
ISFP

If the task here is putting on a performance of some type then you've got almost a dream team. ISTP to run the lights and sound, ISFP to play the music, ENFP to direct, and ESFP + ESTP for speaking parts.

However, what about a dull task like cleaning a building overnight. This is almost the worst group you could have (I think a group of 5 INTPs might be the worst :D )

Here's another random group of 5, how would you use them for the same two tasks?

ISTJ
INFJ
INTJ
ENFP
INTP

I think making people useful in a group has largely to do with whom they are pitted against. For example, an ESFJ in the same group as an INTP would have a lot of trouble making the INTP "come out" of his shell, and the INTP would resent all efforts the ESFJ makes to help them.

So for example, you can't make both INTP and ESFJ useful in the same group, because they would be repressing each other's efforts to fully reach their dominant function's potential.

ISTJ
INFJ
INTJ
ENFP
INTP

Some kind of theorising activity - the INTJ, INFJ and INTP just sit there thinking, the ENFP brainstorms based on their ideas an keeps the mood light, the ISTJ checks to see if the ideas make sense based on experience.

Good point, that's why I asked how much interaction they have. In my building cleaning example an INTP would probably be great at figuring out the most efficient way of cleaning the building, but isn't going to want to participate. This is fine if all the interaction he has is with whomever is in charge, and if whomever is in charge understands the INTP's gifts and weaknesses. But if an ISxJ type sees the INTP not working they'll see it as unequal distribution of labor be dissatisfied. Of course an ISxJ type is much more suited to routine work due to their attention to detail and great sense of responsibility; they gain satisfaction from it in a way an INTP will never do, but the ISxJ's sense of responsibility will be offended by the INTP's perceived lack thereof if they are forced to interact.

Good samples, i didn't realized that I didn't wrote these details (and how they are important). Well, our group of people want to make a fantasy PC game, or better said: ideas for that PC game, that we will once write into one document (or something) and sell to some company.

We are (for now) 7: one INTP, three ISTPs, one ENTP and one ESTP (I haven't found out the seventh one's personality yet). But I would like to know, that if there were more types (we are now making decision, if we will accept ESTJ and ENFP), which would be good for the creating of the world itself (I mean creating ideas for world), and which ones for the services of group (managing etc.). And (if there are any) which ones are worst.

So what do you think?

So what do you think?

An ESTJ could be really helpful if he/she understands the strengths and weaknesses of the group. They'll be fantastic at organizing a group toward a common goal. Their Te will probably work really well with your group, whose entire makeup is people with Ti. The INTP and ENTP might have some friction with him/her because of the conflict between Si and Ne, but that's probably only going to be a major issue with the ENTP.

The ENFP might be frustrated by all the Se and Si, and that there's no one with Ni who will really resonate with them. Neither of those, of course, are insurmountable issues. Where they will shine is in the "creating ideas for the world" area. No one is better at expressing imaginative ideas than an ENFP, and they'll be able to tap into an emotionally expressive and artistic area which all that Ti would have a hard time coming up with.

Thank you very much!
And... could you describe me, too, which roles would every of personalities play in my group (no matter if they are there or not), I mean, just could you say me too who is here for generating ideas and who for something else? Thank you anyway and good jop with these two!

Well, today I found out, that the ENFP don't want to join us anymore, because of his laziness and antipathy for things like "creating games"... and I was searching for Ne so long :/

You have plenty of Ne in yourself and the ENTP, what you don't have is any Ne paired with Fi, which can provide a much needed humanizing factor to your project.

Well... back to theme...
If everybody (or at least every of types) would want to join my group, what would be use for them? If, of course, they would be useful in it...
Everyone manipulates each other for selfish ends simultaneously.

Hmm, I feel his would be assuming that everyone in the group is around the same maturity level, development of their various functions, and similar interest to the group. Similar types can often conflict because either their emphasized/de-emphasized functions are different or because their inner perspectives are different; for example, two INTPs may strongly disagree and bicker if their subjective, individualistic Ti is different from each other.
