There are a lot of things that make being productive for certain individuals very difficult and watching a youtube video is not even the tip of the iceberg enough to change their productivity. Just FYI.

I thought it was an inspiring video.

They only touched upon the part about motivation and willpower. I've learned that we are always motivated. Even if it's about being motivated towards sitting around enjoying something you shouldn't be doing, you are still motivated to do that task. And using plain willpower to do something that you are not motivated to do can work against you.

Sometimes, it can take a little bit of picking through what you are doing, and changing your beliefs and thinking patterns, to get you motivated into doing better things. Educating and being aware can shift your motivations. And being aware of why you are currently motivated to do the things that you are doing.

Excellent short video filled with practical advice. Certainly not all encompasses of all factors of productivity but for a short video, it pacts great advice. Without seeing this or looking into the productivity information on the web, I've found this out through my own trial and error.

I work from home so discipline, motivation are very important. I've found starting the most difficult but when I do, I get real focused and don't like disruption. I work hard for 1.5 to 2 hours, small break, work another 1.5 to 2, lunch and same in the afternoon. I find I can accomplish the daily goals I set in around 6-7 hours of focused energy. I do find doing laundry to be fine as a multi-tasking item since it times with my breaks. I don't do the written lists but I have a clear idea of what I want to accomplish.

I will say the video can help a lot of people. That said I think some people will never get it.

I find most of these to be quite useful and have used many unconsciously.
