I live in the Midwest in the USA and it was overall a pretty cool summer and June and July was very rainy which dropped the temperature down.

Climate experts were all saying that Summer 2024 was supposed to be one of the hottest or "unusually hot." Does that match your experience? I also predicted that the Summer of 2024 for the US would be cooler than normal. It was for me, which I predicted on June 28, 2024.

It was normal for me but when scientists say temperatures have increased they usually mean the overall global temperature. The polar regions are where temperatures were supposed to have increase the most.

Winter was longer this year, which was nice. Summer was also longer, not that nice. Less in between seasons of spring and fall.

It was really fucking hot. It's been really cold too but I can live without a heater.

I had never gotten so many notifications of cooling/heating centers being opened in my city before this.

It's actually scary to consider that it's becoming more inhospitable outside.

I made the joke that racism in this heat is completely justified.

It was very hot. Not the hottest I've ever experienced. But pretty hot.

Even last week, we were having sunny days most of the week, and it's the middle of September. The meteorologists were predicting thunderstorms over Friday and Saturday. There was a big storm, but not till last night, which was Sunday night.

It didn’t feel as hot as last couple of years though? At least in London max temperatures were around 30 Celsius and it’s gone as high as 40 Celsius in the past few years.

It was hot enough that most days, I felt like it was too hot to leave the house for long.

I dunno, I didn't really record the temperatures daily and my subjective experience might be a little biased.

Seems there is some disagreement between people who live in the same freaking country (that isn't that big of a country).

Weird how that works.
