How do you interact with other types?

Just out of sheer curiosity, what types of personality do you seem to interact with the best? Which ones do you interact with the worst?

Personally, it seems like every time I interact with a Guardian, it's like soap and water. The whole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality just drives me nuts.

But seriously, I think I'm missing part of your explanation by not understanding that metaphor.

My issue has more to do with guy/girl and academic aptitude (was going to use "intelligence" but I find academic aptitude more accurate). I just find it easier to talk to girls usually, and easier to continue a conversation if said girl can make an intelligent comment on a topic.

Now I tend to have a more superficial relationship with 'S' types, but I think that's because I haven't figured out how to integrate N'ness into a conversation appropriately. It's usually, "Hey look, THEORY!" "Oh, what you mean by that is...(redirects conversation)." Hmmm, perhaps that should be another topic.

The only generalisation I can make is that I get on well with other NPs. It's really superficial, and doesn't guarantee a lasting (or even any) relationship, but it at least provides a decent half hour of bizarre and convoluted conversation. Beyond that, it's not clear what lets me get on with other people. Shared interests help a lot, and type only figures so far into that.

I get along easily with any other NT's. (To be honest, maybe least of all INTP's, though.)
I can have an understanding relationship with NF's, but no true connection.

Relationships with any xSxx type tend to vary from complete ease via disinterest, to bitter disgust that brings out the worst in my personality. I'm sure the odd Sending type and I have gotten along. I tend to be much less aware of these types' existance in my life.
