Or do you? We feel the most alive and ourselves when "doing" our dominant, but I believe we feel the most enlightened when in our inferior. For an INTP that is Fe, so if true would be in some kind of "connectedness" to our feelings and to others.

People usually have a hobby or interest that gives them deep pleasure. Mine has always been music. I thought the other day that the closest I find to experiencing enlightenment is in music. In the old days when I was at the peak of performing I would get it there, but also when listening on headphones. Now I get it mainly from headphones, the occasional concert and when practicing.

Almost every day I need to get in touch with that. I'll go into a dark room, put on some Rachmaninov or Mahler and slip into a deep meditative state. I become one with the music, the history of music and all the billions of people it's touched, and the deep "truth" being expressed.

Connecting my S and N into a transcended whole does in deed have a spiritual and eternal feeling to me. It happens to me occasionally when i take interest in history (& prehistory, archeology, evolution) but i imagine you might have a similar experience with your music.

i recommend the album angelite - mercy for the living.
i have connected it with entheogenic experiences in my mind.
but it's powerful as it is.

these songs are included on the album

but how am i going to find satori in Te? (which is hypothetically my inferior.) being very outspoken about my judgements? that would certainly be most empowering but i doubt it would amount to complete nonduality/undivided self. i think it's more about vertical development (integral jargon). there is a stage which is called ego aware. it's not the same as awakening, but there is a rough connection. to be ego aware means that much if not all of ego has become an object, that can be observed. whereas before it was obviously the subject, a subject can't see itself, it's what does the seeing. vertical development is about understanding things, about the rudimentary complexity and sensitivity of cognition. awakening is about how one is functioning in relation to his understanding. how the whole thing plays out. so if i say that freedom of will and ego and separation are mere illusions to my mind, i might be speaking from ego awareness, unless i am just parroting what the other smart people say. but knowing that my ego is fake doesn't necessarily stop me from enacting my ego, because vertical development and awakening are different in that way. however ego awareness is certainly a strong invitation to waking up, that is the rough connection i mentioned before. you know with every single or well perhaps every second thought that you are being a phony, as long as you are trapped in the ego. the time of being proud about your independence (separation) is over, because independence is seen as an illusion.

You're an INFP? If my idea is valid then you'd find it when connecting to logical understanding. Studying General or Special Relativity perhaps, or Quantum Mechanics. Not so much the math but the truth as it plays out in the Universe.

For example, coming to a deep understanding of General Relativity, and how beautiful the theory becomes as it equates gravity with geometry.

I've heard that INFP's can have this experience when grasping deep physics theories.

Reading a book that channels my thoughts in a "connective" manner, usually from the classics or some modern literature which have held on to that tradition. Anything that connects myself to culture. Music is one of them as well.

INFP (EII) and INTJ (ILI) have been my favorite hypotheses for my type for a while. (i have also considered SLI, which is the shadow of EII)

satori isn't merely a perception of emptiness, fullness, the world of form, being, eternity, it's becoming the puppet/expression of this eternity, knowingly, i mean it's realizing that one is and always has been that puppet, realizing it in real time, in every present moment.

for introverts, this will certainly involve the end of any avoidant/passive-agressiv behavior. "the world repels me so i won't participate"

for extroverts it would rather be the end of manipulative power games, since their egos deal with anxiety (conflict from perceived separation) aggressively.

let's say i have already understood relativity. now enacting that understanding would be that consequent step, that could close the gap, which is perceived as separation or division. it would be humbling to say the least.

i fell into nonduality once, for a short moment. since then i have no longer made any attempt to perceive emptiness/Spirit, because i can no longer think of it as something that can be merely perceived. i know, if it shows up again, that might be the end of me.

If you take the dictionary definition of satori (sudden enlightenment), then I guess it can mean whatever you want it to mean, but I think that what students of Zen refer to as satori is something that one probably will not recognize unless one has a practice like meditation. Not that you guys don't know... just a thought.

I think of satori as the lightning flash moments where truth hits and really shakes your reality. In those moments I often find laughter exploding out of me before I have any idea what it is that I'm laughing about.

In meditation, I often experience a deep surrender. Sometimes I touch something that is realer than real. I wouldn't call it satori. It's hard to call it anything.

After I've been meditating, I find at random moments that I become one with my environment (is this Se?). I wouldn't call it enlightenment, but it is nice.

I become one with the music

Bliss.

I had the best dream (Ever?), in awhile, not too long ago. It was pure music, no sights, I *was* the music, the rhythm and sounds and what not.

I could control everything about the music, because I was it.

Unfortunately this doesn't happen too often, but the state associated with it is ... well, bliss.
