Pretty simple, which do you prefer over the other-- Winter or Summer?

Personally I would rather live in Alaska than Florida. Being cold is nice, you can always warm yourself up. Being hot, on the other hand, sucks because there is no easy way to cool yourself off. For some reason I seem to handle being cold really well too.

Thoughts?

Temperature is a property of matter. Matter is space, sort of. temp is an available but not necessary property of space. it is a distinct property in that heat transfer..i have no fucking idea.

We have airconditioning and I like wearing less weight in the form of less clothing so warmer climate is good for me. much faster energy transfer too.. i think. tho i don't really get what that means. ^^"

Definitely winter. I dislike temperatures over 95 degrees and I can wear more clothes to stay warm in the winter. Can't really do the opposite when the air temp is over body temp.

Not many things are worse than really cold, windy, rainy/snowy weather, especially when you're hungry and haven't slept enough. No heat I've experienced has been as bad as a regular winter can be. Prolonged exposure to sunlight is a big no-no for me though, and I dislike the clothes summer requires you to wear ( ♥ jackets/coats ). Today was actually a perfect day weather-wise: no sun, mild temperature, barely any wind.

Can I pick early fall?

I like both summer and winter. I can't choose between the two. A long winter is depressing, a long summer makes me sluggish and lazy, but both have their charm. I personally prefer winter clothing too, though.

Winter is nice. When there is a snow storm all of the usual sounds get deadened so, its noticeably quiter. I actually want to be outside walking around during a snow storm because everybody is usually inside except for a few brave souls. Besides, who doesn't like sledding on the roads?

I prefer winter. I like the wind and the heaviness of the sky on dark days, and the crisp clarity of frosty mornings.

i've had this conversation about twenty times this month. i'm moving from germany to texas, you see, and apparently all anybody cares about involving either place is the weather.

i'd rather be cold. i get cranky when i'm hot.

Wait...you mean the weather actually changes?
*peeks outside*

Personally, I have a low tolerance for the cold...kind of. I get cold really easily, but once I'm cold I don't notice it unless I'm physically shivering.
Heat, on the other hand, is something I can take, provided it's not humid. Humidity makes me cranky.

Yet, I still prefer winter. Winter is better for snuggling by a fire.

I've no preference in regards to temperature.

My preference falls with humidity levels. Little
to no humidity, please.

I'll give my vote to cold over hot, but I prefer temperatures to be in the 50's.

I like winter for a couple of reasons, it's quiet and still outside, and those long nights are great for sitting by the fire with a good book and some tea.

None. Living where temperatures go from -5C°(23F) to 35C°(95F) I can say, too much winter is boring, too much summer is burning. If I had to choose I'd choose randomly.

I love winter. I enjoy sunlight, but mostly dislike summer and the intense heat/humidity that comes with it here in Florida. I haven't seen snow in forever...I miss it. For some reason, despite being something akin to agnostic or atheist, I really enjoy the holiday season, as well. There's something that just greatly appeals to me about being inside during the holidays and sipping on hot chocolate or drinking wine :D .

Well heat is more tolerable to me...

But I appreciate winter. Probably because I only experience it for a week out of the year. :/

Winter.

You can put on as many clothes as you want, but you can only take so many off.

I have an air conditioner you know?

Other than that I can't choose I am stuck in hot. My last personal experience with temperatures around 7 degrees Celsius told me that taking a shit and taking a shower is much more comforting in the hot.

Winter, please. I like it when it's still dark outside when I get up for School. And I love snow. The more the better. I like how it disturbs everything, especially traffic.

You know something..that is a tough one for me. Let me expaline. For severl years I lived in the sate of Maine. So let me tel you I know what it is like to experience the most bitter cold with dangerouse, skin damaging wind chills. So cold that soemtimes it would hurt to breath. So cold that your eyebrows frosted over and if you had a beard it would freeze from your exhaled breath.

So for a long time I detested the cold! Then I moved to the hellsihly hot valley of Stokcton CA. and its surrounding areas. Let me tell you I know what its like to roast in hell with bone dry air at tempertures of sometimes 114 deg. So hot that soemtimes you can not even sweat the dry hot air just tightens your skin and sucks all the moisture out of it.

Then there is the hot and insanely humid jungels I was in in the service. You can barely take in a breath of air and not feel like you are drowning, so humid and hot it is on a daily basis.

So after saying all that, what indeed to I prefer? Well after careful thought I think that I would rather freeze, hoping that some how I had enough warm clothing on to suffer the cold!
