I am a math student. Unlike many other math students I am often unprecise and have problems to express myself in a way that other people might understand. Maybe this is because I am somewhat isolated and do not talk very much (sometimes I do not say anything else than "hello" or "hi" for days). But for some reason I usually do not have any desire to interact more with others, in fact I try to avoid meeting most people.

I am very lazy and can almost never motivate myself to do anything. When I do something I expect everything to work out perfectly. I expect "the impossible" from myself and am sometimes frustrated when it does not work the way I hoped it to work. I am always late to start everything (maybe I'll start a project when 3/4 or 7/8 of the time is up). Still I usually get good grades which is frustrating/unmotivating.

Also I do not like music, art and languages (e.g. english). I do like reading books and sitting in nature and thinking about things that almost everyone else would find uninteresting.

To sum up I would say that I am shy, isolated, lazy and negative.

I am not sure if I will stick around here. I usually do not use any forums at all. I usually just do not fit into any group not even the community of a forum.

Bests regards,
gries

One may need to entertain a POV of one's self rather than one's own. For example, I have heard a stress addict describe herself in much the same way.

She functioned best when stressed by a deadline, an impossible goal, idiotic co-workers or whatever. She did not realize her dependency on the chemicals provided during a eustress experience to provide peak performance. She thought she was lazy, because she would wait until the last possible minute to begin a project in order to fabricate a stressor.

The fact that you are uncomfortable in a herd, simply means you are not a herd animal, few of us here are...

Anyway, the things you describe may not be faults, but strengths, depending on the task at hand and the POV used to assay it... so welcome!

Interesting... I am not sure if I am a stress addict. I am certainly always creating stressful situation without any reason. Never thought about it that way =)
Also I usually work way more effective when under stress. For some reason I lately couldn't motivate myself to do much even when I was under stress. Many things just seem to have little relevance.

About art... It just does not inspire me or anything. For some reason I would prefer to look at a leaf or watch an ant instead of looking at any piece of art that I know.

I guess not very much. I have seen some drawings from different epochs, some old statues but also some "modern" art, but since I do not really like art I do not know too much. I guess you could call some literature art. I did not mean to include literature.

Do you like movies? Theatre or other kinds of storytelling?
What kind of books? Fiction, non-fiction, imaginative?

I do not really like theatre. I do like some movies but not that many. I just tried to think of a "favorite" movie but at first nothing came to mind. I guess I liked the lord of the rings when I was younger.
I read many different genres of books. I frequently read science fiction, other fiction, but also some classical literature or books that are on some bestselling lists. Examples might be: "The day of the Triffids", "Eragon", "The Pillars of the Earth", "Dead Poet Society". Also I read scientific books. I am not terribly selective about books and just read what is available (e.g. the books that members of my family own).

Ah, then you do enjoy art. You were just using a narrow definition.
